THE ART OF CHANGE — painting live for “WHAT IS ART?” @convoy.au x @arcade_sydney photographed so beautifully by @jacsmithphotography & @mwtxphotography this piece explores change as a continuous process of becoming — how my experiences, relationships, mistakes and memories shape my perception of growth and change, whilst continuing to shape who i become. painting live made my concept feel even more relevant. i had to let go of my usual perfectionism and trust the process, allowing my piece to completely develop and evolve in the moment as emotions came without completely being able to truly control the outcome. an extremely meaningful experience, and one i’m grateful to have been apart of🖤

Forgot to overshare. @jacsmithphotography Jac and I had the best time exploring on a scooter, taking hundreds of pictures, and surviving the Okinawa “habu” pit viper. I genuinely feel so much gratitude for meeting her. We had so many little adventures on Tokashiki and bonded instantly. As beautiful as this island is, it’s about the people. In spite of days of rain and cancelled ferries, Jac’s sunburn topped with jellyfish stings, and a flu that humbled me, this is still one of favorite memories of Japan. It healed something in me, love you girl 🩵
