Today we honor and remember 🇺🇸 to the ones who didn’t make it back home to your families, we thank you for your sacrifice. To the families, we pray peace in your homes and Jesus love in your lives forever. Today our girls walked in the Memorial Day parade with their troop, Zoe’s comment when we were walking back to our car……“mom, I love doing this. I hope the people in heaven that died know we are celebrating them.” 🥹❤️ Happy Memorial Day !

It’s easy to feel torn when your heart now belongs to more than one little human.
I’ve been trying to give her moments that are just hers—to remind her that she’s still seen, still loved, and still my baby too.
If you're in this season too, you’re not alone.

Benefits to 1:1 after baby is born..... 🏁🏁

1. Helps Prevent Jealousy
Spending time with older siblings reminds them that they’re still special and loved, even with the new baby getting a lot of attention.

2. Reinforces Their Identity
Kids need to feel seen for who they are, not just as “the big sibling.” One-on-one time allows them to express themselves and feel valued as individuals.

3. Supports Emotional Security
Big changes like a new baby can be overwhelming. Dedicated time with a parent helps the older child feel safe and secure during the transition.

4. Builds a Stronger Bond
It deepens your connection with the older child, especially when much of your energy is going to the newborn. This strengthens your relationship long-term.

5. Gives Them a Safe Space to Talk
Older siblings may have big feelings or questions about the baby. One-on-one time is a safe opportunity to share those thoughts without judgment.

6. Boosts Confidence and Independence
When they get positive attention apart from the baby, they feel more confident and secure. This can encourage them to be more independent in a healthy way.

7. Reduces Behavioral Issues
Acting out is often a cry for attention. One-on-one time can reduce tantrums or negative behaviors by meeting their emotional needs proactively.

Happy birthday to one of my favorites 💙 @jad50000 you’re an amazing human period! The world needs you! We need you! You are the older brother I never had ❤️God has given you a heart for love, a heart for loyalty, a heart for truth. He uses you all the time to offer perspective and prayer that changes the room and atmosphere. You are the life of the party and the most Spanish Moreno I know 🤣 you have been seasoned well and you have so much to offer this world in every way shape and form. You’re the best Uncie hands down and these kiddos think they own you 🤣 I pray nothing but blessings over your heart mind and soul as you take another lap around the sun ☀️ happy birthday Jay love you!

Thank you to the love and support that stepped in this week while Sean and I were away taking care of Brenden. Whether you cooked, hung out, babysat, transported, loved on, said a prayer, or checked in on the kids or us, the babies at home had a great week 🙌 thank you ❤️
