Well, yesterday was a day. I woke up to son telling me at 6am that the basement was wet. 😒 Within a couple hours, @kuhns_inc and @karissamorrisrealtor (and some other friends offered as well, but it would have just been too much down there) were at the house helping to move all of our stuff, tear out carpet, pad, trim, casing and drywall through the perimeter of the basement. I am soooo grateful for my peeps!! What we thought was just one side of it, was actually the entire thing. I decided to look at the bright side and see that the flooring I already wanted to replace, can now be done and be done by someone else under insurance. 🤷🏻‍♀️ - fast forward to last night, we had planned on going, as a family, to the Steps of Hope Overdose Awareness Walk, and wearing the shirts for my brothers business, who passed away in November (A+ Flooring). Well, we get home and realize what the back of his shirt says….”Need flooring?” Good one Shane, good one.

In the group picture is my brother’s 20 year old daughter, Jada, who has to live off memories of him, and the picture of the girl in the purple coat is his 4 year old daughter, who now has to grow up without him. 😢😔The walk had a huge turnout, and it’s sad to see so many faces and names of people who’ve lost their lives in such a terrible way, and the families who grieve after they’re gone. Remember that nobody ever picks up their first drug and thinks “I think it sounds fun to be an addict!” So before you pass judgement, know that it could be your brother, sister, parent, child, or best friend that this could happen to, and then have some understanding. 💔
