Let’s get into this week’s segment of On Scene with the Dean featuring #CrosbyKid Jada Webb 🎬

Dean Campbell highlights Jada’s selection to the National Geographic Content Scholarship Program — where she’s working alongside National Geographic’s social media team, preparing for her summer immersive mentorship experience at National Geographic headquarters in Washington, D.C., and received a $10,000 scholarship to support her academic journey.

Aggies, this is what determination looks like. 💙💛

Growing up, we were often introduced to diverse settings and unique characteristics that made each of us different. Whether it be talents, ethnicity, social class, age, etc., we were all unique and part of different demographics. Now that we've grown older, let's shed light on what it's like to grow up in a foreign household. To a visible eye, it may seem a child can fit in, but as you dig deeper, they often lack necessary resources, the ability to connect with others, or feel like they don't fit in a place that may differ from what they know. These families often come to a point where they want better for their children, but not all things are set in stone or easy to make a way. With this in mind, REO wants to help build connections and minimize those areas where these families, children, adults, and students can't connect with resources or lack the comfort and feelings of being a part of the community.
