From LCMer Jada:

Today was such a beautiful day 🌱✨ We spent the morning gardening at Ginger Thomas, and the staff and residents were truly some of the most welcoming people I’ve ever met
Afterward, Jackie and I went to the beach and explored while the others hiked. literally the perfect way to end the day 🌊☀️

Definitely one of my favorite experiences so far… I’m really loving it here 🫶🏽🫶🏽

MONDAY RECAP!! We had an amazing time working with Queen Louise Home through Lutheran Social Services. Queen Louise does incredibly impactful work helping families and children on the island. After our service we split up to visit the beach and Fort Frederik before a group dinner.

We had such an amazing spring fundraiser this past Saturday! 💐💐

Our LCMers helped set up, bake, cook, and decorate for the event. Our lovely LCMer Jada helped take pictures. Bethany and Lauren managed all things cooking and baking. We are so appreciative of that! We served dinner, an amazing charcuterie board, and even had LCMers bartending! The silent auction was a huge success, along with the wine pull and Photo Booth!

We are so grateful to everyone who helped with the event and everyone that attended! We loved getting to mingle with the congregation, and we hope to see you all next year!

An ode to our amazing Winter Retreat 2026!
We made so many amazing memories in Boone this past weekend! 💙💙

We enjoyed incredible food prepared by our fellow LCMers and, of course… hot chocolate!

Our whole weekend was focused on connecting different parts of our relationship with God to a growing tree 🌳. We talked about our foundation (the trunk and roots), our external gifts (the leaves), and how we can connect those gifts to our community (the branches).

Our creative juices were flowing as we painted flower pots to sell at our upcoming fundraiser on February 21st, be there or be 🟦!!

We were able to explore downtown Boone, hit up the iconic Mast General Store, and browse plenty of antique shops!

LCM games are a must! We indulged in Imposter, Murder in the Dark, and Wavelength throughout the weekend!

On our last day, we worshiped at the beautiful Grace Lutheran Church, which hosted us throughout the weekend. Thank you, LSA and Grace Lutheran! Later that day, we went skiing, snow tubing, and even dabbled in some arcade games. So many fun memories on the mountaintop for sure!

On Monday, before heading back to Chapel Hill, we volunteered at Foscoe Home. It was a meaningful experience to help a community that is still recovering from Helene.

…until the next one! 💙

October mems!! We had such a fun and busy spooky month!

We started out the month with outdoor worship, enjoying the fall weather on the lake and a nice potluck following! We headed to Jordan Lake afterwards to pick up trash!

We had a Maple View Ice Cream trip as well!

Blessing of the pets worship was so fun 🙌 some brought their pets irl and others brought pictures! Overall, a wonderful way to bless our furry friends 🐶 #dogsarebetterthancats

We went to the N.C. state fair and spent maybe too much money on fair food! We had a lock-in following!

Finally, we celebrated LCM-oween! Our annual Halloween celebration! We carved pumpkins, had a costume contest, ate mummy dawgs 🌭and took a walk down Franklin!

Thank you October for the memories! 🧡

Throwback Thursday!

Today were reminiscing on our last hoorah with our seniors! Senior Sunday was such a lovely day where we reflected on great memories with our seniors! We will miss them so much during this next school year, but we can’t wait to hear about all the amazing things they will accomplish outside of UNC! 🩵

We are reminiscing on the most special Sunday last week! LCM SUNDAY 🩵🤍🩵🤍🩵

We had wonderful sermons and music from our five seniors: @adventuresinwheelieland @jakewpatt @karaaleeanne @carolineking.17 @gillian_kepley 🤗

We also had the best ushers, acolytes, crucifers, lectors, assisting ministers, communion helpers, and supporters! 🥰 It was the best.

In between services, we had four individuals who participated in our spring break trip give a presentation about our experiences and adventures in Denver. ☺️ We also had a great lunch after both services and were feeling so grateful and blessed. Thank you to everyone at @holytrinitychapelhill for your support and encouragement! We love you all 🫶

We can't wait for NEXT YEAR!! 🥹
