oh to love like i have loved…

shenandoah has given me the best of the best, and i will cherish these people for the rest of my life. this chapter has brought me lifelong friends. not all of them are captured here, but know that every single one of you has made my life extraordinary.

i feel sad now, but god how lucky am i to have loved these people so much to be so sad leaving this chapter behind?

to all of my friends, i love you more than words can express.

to my family, thank you for supporting me through this crazy journey.

you all have changed me for good.

Got a fever this week because I’m two degrees hotter than when I got here.
.
Graduating among Shenandoah University’s Class of ‘26 with a Bachelor of Art in Media Communications, a Bachelor of Art in English, and a double minor in Professional and Popular Writing and Public Relations, summa cum laude.
.
More importantly than that, though, I’m leaving SU with new connections. During my four years here I’ve met some of the kindest, the funniest, and overall best people I’ve met in my life so far. If home is where the heart is, Shenandoah has become that for me, and while it hurts to leave I know I can do so confidently, knowing that the people I’ve met here will have my back, and stay a part of my life for many, many years to come.
.
Ive been shown nothing but love and inclusion at this school, and in return I gave it everything I could. From my first two years working as a tutor at the writing center, to my last two years interning under the amazing people at OMC, and then to my semester as both an editor for the Avalon Literature and Arts Magazine and as Treasurer for SU’s chapter of the Sigma Tau Delta International English Honors Society, I know I’ve helped create a lasting impact on Shenandoah, and I helped serve as an inspiration to many of my younger peers to do the same.
.
There’s a lot of open doors in my future now, and while I’m not quite sure yet which one I’ll walk through, I know no matter which one I pick I’ll have the full support of all of the amazing people I met during my four years here.
.
Thank you to everyone, my friends, my professors, my workstudy supervisors, my family, for making my experience at Shenandoah what it was, and I hope to see more of you all in the future, both near and far.
.
It’s a great day to have been, and forever be a hornet :)
