My essential oil journey began in my Grade R classroom and what a blessing it was. 💛 Here we are enjoying our morning ring together and our classroom diffuser was definitely on! We used essential oils to keep us healthy during flu season, to help us regulate big emotions, and to aid focus when we needed to settle down and work on our skills. 🤓 We used oils to wake us up if we hit an afternoon slump, or to calm us down when buzzing with over-excitement after a birthday ring. 🧁 School is not always easy for little people, but essential oils can really help! 👉 Cuts & scrapes 👉 Bruises & bites 👉 Sore tummies 👉 Headaches ... Rollers to the rescue for all of the above! I had an oily mum walking me through the process of using oils in the classroom, and they worked so well for us that I've been using oils in my own life ever since. These little bottles of magic are such a blessing! 🌱🪄 BONUS! 🥳 Moms and teachers, did you know that Young Living is bringing the full Kid Scents range to SA as a limited time offer?! Seriously - jump on these! 💦🙌

Last month, @youngliving_africa came to town! 💃 Here’s a sneak peak of our morning spent learning how to make natural fragrances. 🍂✨ Did you know that “parfum” is actually a dirty word used to hide all sorts of toxic, endocrine disrupting chemicals in beauty products? ⛔️ Natural fragrances made with essential oils not only smells great, but offers therapeutic benefits to the body while you wear it! 🪄 Make your own - it’s easy! . . . #youngliving #natural #fragrance #scentscational #perfume #essentialoils

Part 2/2⠀  When you love your job, and the people you work with, you will literally travel to the ends of the Earth for it!! 🌎✈️🌍 ⠀  ⠀  I recently returned home from a week in Sweden for a team retreat hosted by @mikaelawclifford followed by a week in South Africa for another team retreat hosted by @justaddjayde. 2 completely different countries, languages, cultures, seasons… everything! ⠀  ⠀  The common ties were just as many… both retreats were filled with the kindest people, all wanting so much good in the world. Both had outstanding scenery and delicious food (minus the salty licorice, but it made for great laughs). Both had so many inspiring, strong, and hard-working women. And the best part? Both were hosted by my dearest friends!! 3 years ago, the 3 of us all fled (crazy) California for different lives across 3 continents. This was the first time I got to visit their families in their new homes, and while I miss them so much, I absolutely loved seeing them thrive in their home countries. ⠀  🇸🇪❤️🇿🇦

Rollers are one of my all-time favourite ways to use essential oils... and there are so many reasons why! 👉 Rollers enable you to combine synergistic oils in a recipe, to achieve greater effect than if they were used individually. 👉 Diluting oils in a roller makes them gentler on the body, and helps your oils to last longer (they are still just as effective as if used neat!) I have a roller for headaches, a roller for tummy aches, a roller for cuts and scraps, an anti-anxiety roller, a deodorant roller... the list goes on! And the best part is you can make them yourself! 👉 Step 1: add your essential oils to a 10 ml roller bottle. 👉 Step 2: fill the rest of the roller bottle with a body friendly carrier oil - like jojoba, olive, fractionated coconut, MCT, or V-6. 👉 Step 3: pop a roller ball fitment on top You're now ready to roll! Stay tuned for roller recipes, or share your favourite recipe in the comments below... 👇 . . . #essentialoils #youngliving #roller #wellness #naturalhealth #stopdropandroll

Lavender blue dilly-dilly 🪻 This beautiful oil is know as the "swiss army knife" of essential oils, as it is one of the most diverse oils out there, with a near endless list of uses and therapeutic benefits... 👉Here are some of my favourite: 🪻 Lavender is a "chill pill" in a bottle. It calms the central nervous system and is therefore a great oil for supporting sleep and relaxation. Try rolling this oil up the spine and under the feet, or infuse with epsom salts to enjoy in the bath. 🪻This is an incredible oil for all things skin and hair. 💆‍♂️ It encourages hair growth and is a key ingredient in the Hello Essentials Mermaid Hairspray recipe. Ladies - try adding a drop to your mascara for long, luscious lashes! 🪻For smooth skin and a glowing complexion, 💁 try adding 10 drops each of Lavender and Frankincense (also know as "botox in a bottle") to a 10 ml bottle and top with a carrier oil, like jojoba, to make a face serum. 🪻Lavender is deodorising: add 2-4 drops to a carrier oil and apply as needed. 🪻Lavender not only relaxes you, but it relaxes stiff muscles. Try combining with Frankincense or Peppermint for a post-gym muscle rub from heaven! 💪 🪻Seasonal stuffiness? 🤧 Lavender can help with that too... 🪻Adding a few drops of Lavender to a cotton ball and placing it in the closet is a great way to both deter pests and keep things smelling fresh! What is your favourite way to use Lavender? . . . #essentialoils #oils #YoungLiving #naturalhealth #plantsoverpills #lavender #lavenderessentialoil

Try this uplifting diffuser blend to validate feelings of self belief 🥰 ... The olfactory receptors in the nasal passage convey essential oils straight to the limbic brain, where emotions, beliefs and memories are stored. 💧 Valor: an essential oil blend that can shift "the blues" and inspire feelings of courage and strength. 💧Believe: a steadying oil blend that has a balancing effect on emotions, promoting feelings of self-awareness and faith. 💧 Frankincense: an earthy, grounding oil known for its ability to promote feelings of relaxation and tranquility. . . . #essentialoils #frankincense #valor #believe #diffuserblend #youngliving #iamworthy #emotionalsupport

Melrose is the Ear Saver ✨️ I've had some severe ear, throat and sinus infections for a few weeks, and I tried everything 🙃 but nothing succeeded in clearing it...then one evening I took a risk and put a drop or two (depending on the speed of the oil 😅) into my ear canal and massaged under my ear. It wasn't long before the pain started to subside, and I could feel my body soften. I finally woke up without pain in the morning. I did continue to use it for a few more days and it has been magical. I have used it on the outside of the ear before, but these drops in the ears were a game changer. Thank you Young Living Essential Oils for making these magic oils a part of my home and health journey 🙏🏻 #earhealth #earache #earcare #sinusinfection #younglivingessentialoils #healthylifestyle #essentialoils #helloessentialssouthafrica #helloessentials #oilstotherescue #oilyjourney
