The Lord’s perfect plan has brought us here, and we could not be happier!!!!!!!! We are getting married!!!!!!

Avery means the world to me and I cannot praise God enough for sending me such a beautiful woman. She is truly my best friend and I could not imagine a life without her. The Lord has worked in our relationship in so many ways and He has continued to deliver. I cannot wait to take this next step and see where He takes us! I am so excited to start this life with her! Jaden is living proof of the Lord’s kindness and provision in my life. He is one of my greatest gifts, second only to my relationship with Christ. Colorado always calls back to me. Its a place that holds many of my fondest memories. Something about it just makes me
indescribably happy. The beauty of the Rocky Mountains could possibly be credited for that.

This trip however, was not everything I was expecting it to be. It didnt exactly go the way I had planned. On the last run of the first day of skiing, I felt a pop in my right hamstring followed by a sharp burning pain. I immediately knew what had happened and my mind began to race. I then found an infinite amount of things to complain about. I felt sorry for myself. But after a few minutes of reflection I realized how close minded that was.

We often like to make plans. Plans about our day, how next week will look, and maybe even plan out the next few years of our life. This week was a harsh reminder that I am not in as much control of my life as I'd like to think.

That being said, I wouldn't change a single thing that happened. Not being able to ski made me appreciate the little things. The soothing sound of a mountain stream. The beauty of the setting sun behind the clouds. How special laughing at stupid jokes with your friends is. How black and white photos can make the most ordinary things look special. There is always something to be thankful for and the Lords love and blessings are neverending.
