POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I’ve been out on walkabouts nearly every day lately. Allowing my senses to bathe in the conversation between the land and my intuition. Scouting and just listening to the sounds of nature waking up and cleaning off, preparing to shed another layer of skin.

I know there’s likely at least a few weeks or more to go (and at least another rain storm) before any more than a few of the more typical “early bird” species announce their arrival.

I suppose you might say I’ve just missed the damp soil and the feeling it brings. The way the air becomes more aromatic after it rains.
The smell of local herbs and decomposing leaf litter is intoxicating. Both nostalgic and prophetic.
It has brought me immense comfort, peace, and a deep sigh of relief.

And so, with the oncoming season, I will be once again, bringing you the very best of Brando Farr.
My cooking, my stories, my knowledge and walkabouts.
Very much looking forward to it peeps.
I feel as if I spent a large portion of the summer feeling flat, stagnant, withdrawn, or without much to say. Which isn’t an easy space to operate from in the pursuit of conception for new content 🙄
The content though!?! 🤣
How tiring, truly ; )
It was not a pleasant space, but as usual, when the going gets tough, I usually opt to flow with the path of least resistance ; )

I will endeavor to make as much educational video content as possible this season. Covering as many wild species, recipes and funny stories as I can find the breath for ✌🏽🌀 🪶

Get your feet wet with us for late September early October, while we prepare to kick off our intro for fall mushroom season! Peep the September & October schedules!

Back in LA soon 🏹✨
I’m planning my next Mindful Archery weekend and I want you in the circle.

nature, ritual, and community connection
All levels, all bodies, all identities welcome. Whether you’ve never held a bow or you’ve been shooting for years, this container is for you.
I’m deciding between two dates:
Oct 23–25
Nov 13–15
Head to my stories to vote which weekend works best for you. Your input literally shapes when we gather.
If you’re curious about team-building, private groups, or bringing this to your org/crew, DM me. I’m happy to co-create something specific for your community.

Catching up while eating our way through the Max & Helen’s menu. So lucky to walk in and sit at the counter when wait times can be crazy!

We had such a nice time at our local SeedSwap. There was so much to see and learn, with hundreds of years of combined experience and knowledge. There is a fast growing interest in CA Native plants, which is great to see. I made a pitch to the community for nature play items and strawberries for our school garden, and they came through! These grapesvine wreaths and seashells are going to be a big hit, and look at that bucket-o-strawberries! It was a great day of sharing and swapping.
