Most of my life, I never thought I was destined for anything as big as this. I still feel like I'm in a dream. Like... Bachelor of Criminal Justice & Criminology??? WHO IS SHE????

If you know me personally, you know I usually try my best to avoid showing any vulnerability and typically am very dissatisfied and not confident with who I am or what I do. Almost like I'm not meeting standards or doing a good job. After 4.5 LONG years, I can finally sit here and say that I am proud of myself.

To my mother, my siblings, my godmother, and the rest of my family, thank you so much for always believing in my academic abilities even when I didn't believe in them myself. I don't know what I would do without you.

To the Kappa Sigma Fraternity, I don't even have all the words. Thank you for bringing me out of my shell. I was always scared to be my flamboyant self around bigger groups of guys. The feeling of always being paranoid about my sexuality as a college student was sometimes a setback for me. Then, lo and behold, I met all of you pinheads. I now know that as long as I can be confident and comforable with who I am, then what other people think or say does not matter. Thank you boys so much for being my safety net. I could not have asked for anything better.

To my girls I have met along the way, Lauren Heil and Madison Hankins, thank you for being here with me since the beginning. Out of all the obstacles we have faced, WE MADE IT THROUGH TOGETHER. You girls are always top 2 in my book!
