Instagram… i can’t believe this is my life! I was hired to Art Direct an editorial campaign for a Black-owned, faith based clothing brand @basileia1000 here in Portland. Brought to life by Director @dlvisualz and the insanely stylish owner, @likjabez Between Jason (the director’s) vision and Malik (the owner’s) effortless street + preppy style, I gathered props, accessories, extra clothing…basically whatever I could get my hands on so I could be prepared for whatever came my way. I took the lead in styling each model. Leaning into their personal style and pushing it just a step further so everything stayed true to them but read more fashion-forward on camera. I styled each set location, working intentionally with colors, textures, and overall vibe to enhance the story and make each look feel grounded in its environment. Everything about this shoot was perfect. Great energy, clear communication, unexpected yet perfect pivots, and of course…Barbie magic 💕Just another day on set ✨ Quick shoutout to Jason who is a dream to work with. Everyone knew where to be and when…even when we got kicked out and almost ticketed 😝, the pivots were seamless. The final campaign is going to be sick, but until that drops… here’s a little BTS and the well-deserved feast we shared after. 🍽️✨ #bts #behindthecamera #onset #setlife #creativeprocess #productionlife #artdirector #artdirection #styledbyme #fashionstylist #wardrobestyling #setdesign #creativedirector #creativedirectorlife #blackownedbrand #blackownedbusinesses #faithbasedbrand #portlandbrand #pnwstyle #editorialshoot #fashioneditoríal #womeninproduction #preppystyle #streetwearstyle #portlandcreatives
