Highly recommend:
Workout classes: Roommate Edition.
I never thought I liked classes at the gym, and honestly haven't given them a chance. I was WAY to intimidated by the idea of looking like a fool and being limited in my movements due to extra weight. Thank God the second reason is no longer applicable, but it was a major factor for the past few years. It turns out I just needed good people to go with to get over the initial embarrassment and now I LOVE them!

Little bummed I missed on so many years of enjoyment 🫠... But glad to be an official Yoga/Pilates/Zumba goer!

HERE’S THE THING ABOUT MEMORIAL DAY… YOU HONOR THE FALLEN BY DOING HARD THINGS TOGETHER.

This was after the Murph and after the combat rounds.

And what’s interesting is that everyone finished at completely different times.

The world record for the Murph is around 43 minutes.
Some people here finished in about an hour and were extremely well conditioned.
Others, like myself, finished around 1 hour 15 minutes and it was hard.

Very hard.

My objective for next year?
Way better pull-ups.

But that’s the point.

You go through the resilience of the first run.
Then the pull-ups.
The push-ups.
The squats.
Then the second run.

And after all of that?

We still did roughly another hour and 15 to 20 minutes of sparring:
Striking.
Grappling.
Ground work.
Ground striking.
Boxing again.

And everyone did it.

Everyone in this picture.

Different ages.
Different backgrounds.
Different beliefs.
Different fitness levels.

One goal:
Honor the brave.
Honor the fallen.

That’s what we believe in this studio.

If you want to train with a community that is positive, strong, and willing to do extremely hard things together… a place that pushes you while also helping you grow step by step…

DM “READY”.

And if not, that’s still okay.

But do something.

Because Memorial Day is here, and it’s important to honor what we have.
