POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

very long overdue post but last show w joey in the bay && in honor of the anniversary of the historic march on washington! it is forever a privilege to be able to dress such a beautiful cast of models for a meaningful j.ehren show and collaborate with artists like joey and lucy to create fashion spaces that are committed to uplifting marginalized communities that inspire great fashion and culture and yet are repeatedly excluded and denied recognition instead of perpetuating the archaic prejudices deeply ingrained within the fashion industry.

it feels a little silly to reference the show parks and recreations here, but i often think about the leslie knope expansion of theodore roosevelt’s quote, where she said “‘far and away the best prize that life has to offer is a chance to work hard at work worth doing.’ and i would add that what makes work worth doing is getting to do it with people that you love.” i’d like to think this is fairly accurate to where i draw my sense of purpose from and what has propelled my growth as an artist this past year. the sleepless nights and weary haze i often found myself in while preparing for these shows feels easily dismissed and pales in the face of the opportunity to conceive of more creative means to adorn these models in the most decadent, jewelry to compliment joey’s masterfully crafted and imagined garments and each models’ innate beauty.

thank you joey, lucy, and every artist i’ve had the pleasure of working with on these shows. thank you for inspiring me always and giving me the gift of purpose and the confidence to try and take a chance on myself, it means more to me than i can ever convey with mere words and i’ll carry that gratitude wherever i’ll go.

love,
kaitlyn

Meet a GOLDEN designer: Joey Ehrenberg, founder and designer of J.Ehren.

At just 24, Joey has already produced nearly 25 runway shows, building J.Ehren into a Bay Area label known for inclusive, expressive fashion that blurs the line between clothing and art.

Every piece is designed and handcrafted in the Bay Area, with a focus on quality, innovation, and celebrating communities historically underrepresented in fashion.

See J.Ehren on the runway at SF Fashion Festival 2026 — GOLDEN.
