Meet our next Pretty Preauxfessional, @jaemonae___ 💜✨

Her favorite item in her Pretty Preauxfessional Starter Kit is her books 📚

Like a book, a Pretty Preauxfessional knows confidence is key, but preparation creates credibility. When you enter professional spaces, don’t just bring your ideas—bring the research, data, and receipts to back it up.
📚 Know your pages and always come prepared.

The girls are giving. ✨

We’re excited to grow the Geaux Girl family and welcome new members and Friends of Geaux Girl Giving. Together, we pool our resources and move them into the hands of organizations serving Black women and girls. We got us.

Soft mornings, messy hands, and gentle reminders. I tried pottery for the first time at @bellyfirenola and was reminded of Isaiah 64:8.

God is the potter and we are the clay. Even when we mess up, He continues to reshape us with purpose. This experience was more than self care. It was truly eye opening.

Born to be a Queen....

I helped my Grandma Alma glue jewels to that Egyptian bib collar...that gown she sewed for me made me feel so opulent and special. That gown and most of my pictures in it washed away 20 years ago...I still can't find this one in my house but I did find my wedding video and took a picture of the TV for y'all.

In my era, that court contest was CUTTHROAT! If I'd tried any later than 1978 I likely wouldn't have made it. And some of y'all reigned TWICE! More than twice in a couple of cases.....

It's an elite and special club to be Kelly Royalty. But to be honest, all of us who walked through those various studio doors because Lorraine Kelly Petit (and Miss Valerie and Ms. A in her wake) would have nothing less stepping out into the world. We were taught more than technique--we were taught history, pride and confidence in how to carry ourselves. At conventions, community performances, road trips...anywhere, we were expected to walk in the best representation of ourselves--ESPECIALLY when wearing the Kelly blue.

Long may we reign. 👑💙💛🤍

I am incredibly grateful for today’s session. The mentees embraced this interactive etiquette experience with openness and enthusiasm, fully engaging in the discussion. Today was truly the first of many to come.

A heartfelt thank you to Mrs. Jutane for sharing her gift with us. I’m thrilled that the girls enjoyed the session, and I look forward to the next one!

Today, we kicked off 2025 with our first PathfindHER Mentorship session: Setting the Course. Huge thanks to Miss Jenn with @businessandbeyond_ for breaking down the real cost of living and teaching us how to choose careers that align with the lives we envision.

Here’s to building a future we love—together! 💕 #PathfindHER #MentorshipMatters #SettingTheCourse #BuildingOurBestLives
