It’s almost 20 years since I lost my amazing Dad Mike Flynn to this terrible disease (I’ll be honest life has never been the same since), however, it did start what has been a wonderful partnership with @roycastlelungcancer and their amazing team for which I’m honoured to host their events 💙

I’ve formed a firm friendship with their CEO @paulachadwick, and as I said last night - her passion, enthusiasm and “dedication” to her role, coupled with the sheer determination for early detection of this disease knows no bounds. She’s backed up by the most amazing staff including @jennylloyd36 who brought together a glittering Strictly 2026 last night @vermillioneventspecialists in Manchester which I was once again so humbled to host.

With a fabulous selection of judges including the gorgeous @brittanyfeeneyx and @chadthompsonuk plus Vicki from @cadmansdancecentre who had given up her time to choreograph EVERY routine for the contestants it was a truly amazing evening.

Please take a moment to watch the videos of the contestants and their professional partners who gave up hours of their time to raise money and they all shone on the dance floor 🪩

Finally, a huge thank you to Jamie and his team @liveeventsltd who read the room perfectly and they are always a joy to work with, and actually trust me with a mic!! 🎤

Thank you to everyone who danced, attended, supported and organised this event, because of YOU there will be daughters that won’t be left missing their dad every day of their life - thank you from the bottom of my heart… next stop ….. LIVERRRPOOOOOLLLL @adelphihotel 💃

“Did you win?” “How did you do?” “Where did you place?”
Did I win a crown?... No.
I came home with something far more special.
I have genuinely never felt as loved as I did on Saturday. The messages, comments, people asking for pictures, the love from the finalists and the excitement in that room... wow. Seeing so many women genuinely happy for others is a feeling like nothing else.
I came into pageants at the lowest I had ever felt. I hated the way I looked, had no confidence and no clue what I was doing. To experience what I did on Saturday was incredible. Standing on that stage in THE most beautiful dress (@charlo.core 🩵) thinking “What the f*** is my life?” and realising how far I had come was a moment I’ll never forget.
“It’s not about the winning, it’s about taking part” is a phrase that’s too often thrown away. If you enter a pageant with the sole focus of winning, you’ve already lost. You’ll miss out on meeting the most gorgeous, talented, beautiful people - in my case all 16 of them. To have the privilege of placing 2nd Runner-Up is an honour, let alone with 16 new friends by your side. Yes, fundamentally pageants are competitions, but they are so much more than that.
If you’ve made it this far, thank you for persevering... Now for my thank yous.
In no particular order...
@amylaurablackwell I genuinely couldn’t have done this without you. I’ve loved every second of this journey, even panicked phone calls and last-minute outfit changes!
@sofia.mayerspageantcoaching not just a coach but now a very special friend. Thank you for believing in me and supporting me throughout this journey. I hope I did you proud🩵.
@seanmaloneymua @georgiestockwell , thank you for making me feel beautiful. You’re both magicians🩵
My fellow finalists, every one of you shone. Congratulations to our new queens - I know you’ll do us proud at nationals ✨
@laurajwenton and @tricialiedl , thank you for everything 🩵
And finally (I know🙄), thank you to every single person who clapped, cheered, commented, messaged, hugged and shared this experience with me. It means more than you know.
For now the heels are off... but for how long? See you soon pageant land 😉🩵
