Always a lot of pressure going into the prestigious @gageroadsbrewco._ Straddie Invitational. This year we fielded 2 SRSC Teams SNAPPER ROCKS n LITTLE MARLY taking it back to 1984 when our LITTLE MARLY Team WON the Event.

We experienced highs n lows, some banging Heat wins n other heats falling short in the abysmal conditions. We stand proud of both Teams SR - clawing their way back to take 5th, and LM on equal 12th. Big shoutout to our Younguns taking Heat wins @jordy_halford @daviglazer @jahlibrooks @zac_johnston_ also taking the highest score of day 3. Over 35s & SR Team Captain @dingomorrison ripped in taking a Heat WIN ✔️

Professional as always big cheers to @pointlookout.boardriders for not only this weekends comp, but the last 42 years of epic Straddie battles & island vibes.

Cheers to @noosaboardridersclub 1st 🙌🏽 @coolumboardriders 2nd n the mighty @pointlookout.boardriders 3rd. Every Team competing was fully loaded with talent, much respect.

Yesterday was an exercise in frustration over things out of my control, which is a bit of a theme lately. Ridiculous crowds and consistent drop in’s meant linking up was hard going, swimming was dangerous and, despite how beautiful a day it was, aggravation ran high when things would happen and I couldn’t meet the expectations I’d set for myself. But amongst the negatives, just like life, there’s plenty of magic if you look for it and yesterday had its moments too. Here’s a few of them 🤙🏻
