Draft is a typeface, an app, and a method for spatial writing.

Developed as a Master Diploma Project in Type Design at @ecal_ch, Draft explores how typography can become a tool for forming thought: an infinite canvas where words, notes, lines, lists, images, and glyphs can be placed, connected, moved, and reshaped.

The project is presented inside a custom terminal-style display, designed and produced by @atelierlomann. The terminal brings the digital tool into a physical form, combining screen, keyboard, typeface, specimen, and interface into one object.

Ephemeral Agents is a programme developed by @concentricofestival x DISTIGMO
and co-directed by Javier Peña—Ibáñez and Gregory Tsantilas.

Jamuna Mirjam Zweifel is a Zurich-based dancer & choreographer whose practice is rooted in collective creation. She is interested in developing alternative forms of being & relating, often seeking to give voice to non-human entities & question hierarchies between humans,plants,objects & animals. Influenced by contemporary dance, street- & club styles & performance art, Jamuna works across disciplines. From 2019-23/25 she worked closely with the Zurich collective The Field and Zookunft.Project. This work influences a lot her artistic path and collectivity is often a topic she works with. Jamuna created the full-length production Holes in collaboration with French sound artist Léa Jullien and the artistic team. Her work has been supported by several awards & grants. At the moment she is working on the new multi year endeavor Glitch Softcore, an artistic research honoring glaciers.

Save the Date - Werkschau 26

Die Werkschau an der Schule für Gestaltung GR in Maienfeld widmet sich dem japanischen Prinzip des Tsunde-Oku – dem bewussten Ansammeln, Ordnen und Bewahren für einen späteren Zeitpunkt. Inspiriert von japanischer Kultur und Denkweise entwickeln die Studierenden szenografische Arbeiten, die Material, Atmosphäre und Inszenierung auf besondere Weise miteinander verbinden.

Zwischen Minimalismus und Verdichtung entstehen vielschichtige Räume, die unseren Umgang mit Objekten, Erinnerung und Atmosphäre neu interpretieren. Die Ausstellung zeigt experimentelle Konzepte und macht die Einflüsse japanischer Philosophie räumlich erfahrbar.

Die Arbeiten spiegeln das große Engagement und die Hingabe wider, mit der die Studierenden ihre Ideen weit über den Unterricht hinaus entwickelt und umgesetzt haben.

Hall, Interpretation & Evidence, a work of research by Profiler, documents the production of Hall lamp designed by @pantertourron and anodized by @bwbsurfacetechnology

Hall is the first Profiler Special Project bringing together designers and the industry into a shared production.

Conceptualized by @concigliery and designed by @jahnkoutrios with photography by @julien_chavaillaz and @jeremy_ayer_studio the publication makes use of moving image and photographic material produced during the lamp’s manufacture. Using custom AI tools developed by @profiler.world key elements are extracted from images and film, timecoded, and catalogued as discrete objects across the opening spreads.

Six scene texts translate the catalogued material into interpretation, each governed by a distinct stage of the coloring process.
