So it’s really the end of August already?

we had a great time at tonight’s banquet. got to hand out a few awards and talk about how much we love this team. thank you to everyone who came out and to bunkers for always hosting us! congratulations to all of our award winners and to our seniors for the official wrap on their high school careers. can’t wait to do it all again next year

seniors,
you are the reason this team works. without you we are not as strong, not as resilient, and not as confident. you have taught the younger players what it means to be a Post 10 Patriot. you have given them experiences they will never forget. ten years from now you won’t remember the final scores or the stats, but instead the memories made with your teammates. the jokes in the dugout, the bus rides, the huddle in the circle, and the singing during warmups. so Carlie, thank you for going all out 100% of the time and creating an incredible work ethic that others could look up too. JJ, thank you for being a true leader behind the plate and always staying positive, no matter the score. Taylor, thank you for picking up your teammates even when you don’t feel you’re at your best, and always putting your body on the line to make the play. this team is your family and you are always welcome back home. you are all going to do big things and we can’t wait to see it

this team is truly like no other. each and every single one of these players would go to war for each other. there is nothing more amazing than watching their energy on the field and in the dugout. thank you for creating a family that will last a life time. thank you having each others backs and picking each other up no matter what. congratulations on the 4th place finish at state, and congrats to kk and jj for being named to the all tournament team

Dear softball,

After 13 years I’m officially saying goodbye to the sport who made me the athlete and person that I am today. Softball will never be just a sport, especially to me. Softball has always been something that I look forward to at the end of the day, or a place I can go to if I need to escape things going on in my life. But above all, softball has given me something that I will never ever take granted of. A home and my family I never knew I wanted in my life.

Every single person within this team, the players, the coaches, and even the parents have shown so much love and support to me that I’ll never be able to fully appreciate. You guys shaped me into the person that I am and I am so ungodly grateful for each and every one of you. Thank you to the players for becoming the sisters I never had, the people I can always come to if I ever need anything and above all, my best friends. To every underclassmen, I’ve loved being able to get close to you and I couldn’t have done it without you.

To my coaches. Phil and Craig, you guys started out my love for the game ever since I started playing for you guys in 9U. You taught me the basics, and as I grew I learned so much more. Being able to play with you two for the last 9 years has been a blast. AJ, Madison, and Addie, thank you all for believing in me most when I couldn’t. You never failed to bring me back up and always telling me to relax. I’ll miss you all so much.

Mom and dad. I’ll never be able to thank you enough for every sacrifice you’ve made for me. No matter if it’s buying equipment, taking off work to come to my games, cheering me on on the bleachers, talking with me through difficult situations, or even giving me a hug after a hard game, I’m so grateful. Thank you for always being here to catch me when I fall. I’m so grateful for you both and I love you forever.

Post 10, it’s been an honor to play for you and be able to represent such an amazing group of people and a special cause. I never would have met my best friends if it wasn’t for this team.

It wasn’t the ending we wanted but it’s been a good run. Thank you for everyone who made this journey so special and change my life.
