Photo dump from the last 6 months, love all the ponies and their accomplishments!💖

I loved being a manager for the Cal Poly Performance Sale with these beautiful girls inside and out! It was a lot this year, but damn we had such a productive team it felt so amazing!

I’m going to miss my poly babies, but they were so fun to work with. Rue was so easy going and confident and Spice is just a powerhouse full of talent and grace.

Kaida has been killing it at the shows and have won her first class in the box drive and same with Suzy! Suzy won her first show this year as well and things have been really coming together with her!

It’s been nice to finally get my mom out to ride again, I know she misses it and now she’s riding her old show horse again! It’s cool how things come around.

I love my friends, I love the summer fun and beach rides! I cant wait to make more memories with these amazing girls! And Xayvion and Suzy get along pretty well if you cant tell, glad my ponies love him just as much and I do!

Congrats to Jaimie Knode, another CPET senior who graduated last weekend!

Jaimie graduated with her degree in animal science and is headed of to Washington State University for Veterinary school, hopefully equine medicine.

At Cal Poly, she was on show team all 4 years, show manager committee her second year, show team captain the last two years, QH the last two years, and a QH student manager last year.

Her favorite memory and advice: “fav memory was driving through the night in illinois to get to semi-finals! piece of advice is to don’t be afraid to try! you’re always a lot capable than you think you are.”

Congrats Jaimie! We will miss you!

Only 4 days until Banner steps into the sale ring. Big movement, an easygoing pace, and a quiet personality make this gelding the kind of ranch horse prospect that’s as enjoyable to watch as he is to ride.

This little dude loves it outside!

Juan sells in two weeks at @calpolyperformancehorses sale! He is great in the arena, but is also super happy out on the trail and would make an awesome ranch or rope horse. Good with cows, gates, ropes, water, and goes out alone or in a group. Sale video and photos are posted online at ranchhorse.calpoly.edu

Thank you for photos! @molly.v_

25 days till the one and only @calpolyperformancehorses sale 🎉

Each year a group of 2 & 3yo horses are started under saddle by a Cal Poly student enterprise and then put through a wonderful production sale. I have had the privilege of being very invested in this class and sale for a lot of years, and have been behind the camera, laying in the arena, trusting colts and kids way too much (lol), and running through the hills to capture a glimpse of their work. It’s been amazing to see the breeding choices improve and match the top levels of performance industry. These kids are riding some NICE colts, and learning from the best of ‘em with Lou and the wonderful clinicians that offer their expertise. What an opportunity, what a sale, what a school! There’s a REASON I always come back! -P 4ever!

Check ‘em out in person or online on May 30th & take a piece of Cal Poly home with ya.

Introducing our amazing western show team captain, Jaimie Knode!

Hi, my name is Jaimie and I have been on the Cal Poly Western show team for the last four years, this is my second year as Show Team Captain. I have had so much fun getting to know the people on the team and at other competing colleges better as well as getting closer with our coach Lou. My most favorite memory was getting to go to nationals when I won reserve champion in horsemanship during my second year on the team. After graduating with my Animal Science degree this spring I will be attending WSU Veterinary School in the fall to pursue a career in equine medicine.
