It’s been a long time coming. An understatement. I wish we could thank every single person who made this dream our reality. First, to our parents, you’re our biggest cheerleaders and also help run the behind the scenes of this business that has grown to something unimaginable. We would be lost without Nell keeping our books straight @bellandcompanypa and without @livefitwithnatalie helping us answer e-mails (and ya know… birthing us.)

If you bought a RTM course or presets, hired us to photograph your wedding, your precious babies, allowed us to capture your senior portraits, business portraits, if you attended a workshop or two… or three (we are so thankful for our repeat workshop attendees) if you have been a longtime client that we’ve photographed for a decade (see you in a few weeks for my fall family session regulars 🫶🏻) —- all of you are the reason we can take this next step and that is not lost on us.

And thank you @djjbean for being the most amazing second set of hands, and being all in for everything you’re a part of. You’re such a great assistant but more importantly, such a great friend.

@cadiaz2009 and @peoplesbankar thank you for helping with all of our banking & financing questions.

@_tonya_perkins_ our sweet realtor who wrote up the contract for this pretty piece of dirt you see behind us, and spent countless hours looking at properties with us. We love you!

Really the list is so long when it comes to those of you who have poured into us, and this business. We see you and cannot tell you enough how much that continued trust in us means. We are capturing some of the biggest moments of your lives and that means everything to us. So as we prepare for one of the biggest moments of ours so far, we are so thankful for all of you who are standing beside us that make this dream a reality for us every single day. I wish I could go back to 2010 and tell Jaison & Callie what was coming. Some days we still can’t believe it ourselves. We are truly living out our dream and that’s in large part because of your trust and support.

I’ve started to post this multiple times and I always get so upset I can’t bring myself to do it. I end up in tears and spiral into a sadness that’s hard to shake. But I want this girl to forever be remembered on my Instagram feed, so I can see her cute face and look back and smile after my heart has healed. But she was so much more than a square on my feed. And that’s why I haven’t been able to bring myself to do it. Because it feels underwhelming and like not enough.

As many of you know from me sharing some details, Myla was very sick last month. In Jan. she was very healthy, as her senior panel indicated. & We still have questions. One question that I do know the answer to, is how hard our vet tried to save her. We truly did everything we could do, and because we did everything, I don’t have any regrets about her care. I can’t speak more highly about the love, care, knowledge & compassion that Dr. Katie Baeyens showed Myla and our family during one of the hardest moments that I’ve ever experienced. It was truly awful to watch Myla decline so quickly, then progress, all to decline once again — but that’s how these thing work sometimes. Losing a pet is never easy. But there is an added element to losing one while on vacation. An added element to losing one suddenly & unexpectedly. That knife twists just a little different. And I say that as a pet parent who peacefully helped our two previous *extremely* loved senior dogs cross the rainbow bridge, one just a little over a year ago. Those previous losses hurt beyond measure, but this was a different kind of loss. One that will forever stay with me. It was devastating. Myla was so bad in the beginning days of her joining our family, & at times we questioned our decision. But then she matured & slowly calmed down & stopped eating our clothes 😅😂 she grew into her own unique role within our family. But in the last month she was with us, we bonded on a new level. From taking her to multiple appointments for platelet & hematocrit rechecks, to acting almost like a fulltime caretaker, administering a plethora of pills, it was all-consuming at times. & I would do it all over again. And again. (Continued in comments)
