Frontal plane loading can sometimes be an overlooked component of lower extremity training, yet it directly influences performance, movement efficiency, and long term joint health.

Lateral strength and control can help improve hip stability, knee valgus management, and the body’s ability to decelerate and change direction under load which are key qualities for athletes.

Incorporating movements like lateral lunges, Cossack squats, skater patterns, and resisted lateral stepping can build the capacity to absorb and produce force outside of the sagittal plane. This translates to cleaner cuts, stronger landings, and a more resilient kinetic chain.

Talking through experience 🗣️
3 arm surgeries in 5 years. Constant arm pain for the past 9 years. I got so used to throwing whatever way I needed to in order to get through the pain that day. I got so used to throwing whatever the rehab program read that day. I was always finding ways to manage pain or strictly following a rehab program. It has never been move as fast as you can and compete to your best ability. Tommy John Surgery & a full flexor repair has given me a chance to finally attack this at 100%. 14 months post op. Healthier than ever. Rewriting the narrative day by day. A nobody that can maybe help somebody. AGTG 🫶

Shoulder stability is more than just strength…it utilizes controlled movement through the scapular and glenohumeral joints. This foundation allows efficient force transfer, protects joint integrity, and optimizes performance whether your pressing overhead, throwing, or handling daily tasks.

Essential components of shoulder stability include:
✔️ Scapular positioning and motor control
✔️ Rotator cuff activation and endurance
✔️ Dynamic stability through multiplanar movement

For athletes, this means greater power output and durability under load. For all populations it can help support pain free movement and long term joint health.

Performance starts from the ground up!

Your feet and ankles are your foundation- absorbing force, stabilizing movement, and generating power. Yet they can often be undertrained and underprioritized.

For athletes, foot and ankle stability is key to sprinting, jumping, cutting, and landing efficiently. Without it, compensations lead to issues throughout the kinetic chain.
