There is a lot of bad in the world.

And there is a lot of good.

I realized I had become so focused on what is broken that I was forgetting to drink in what is beautiful.

I’m not looking away from injustice. I’m not giving up my voice.

I’m simply making room for beauty, laughter, hope, and joy to have a voice, too.

Because maybe we keep going not by pretending the hard things aren’t there, but by refusing to let them become the only thing we see.

Here a few of my September good things ◡̈

Theme night with @lagalaxy ⚽️

We got Gryffindor. 🩶🩶

According to the extremely accurate and totally legitimate scientific testing, I’m Ravenclaw. 🩶

Evening Claremont strolls

The cutest little guy, all set to sprinkle some creativity everywhere!

Oh, my soul! Holding this little one close, whispering prayers, and remembering what matters most

Revisited a craft I did over 20 years ago.

Turns out, I still enjoy it.
And apparently, my nervous system does too. 🧶

There’s something about choosing a color, making one stitch, then another, and letting my hands do something that doesn’t need to be rushed.

So… apparently I crochet again now. 😂

Some C&C — coffee & chats. ☕️

I was introduced to a new coffee shop, and let me just say… the wait was worth it.

I probably would’ve missed this little gem altogether if I hadn’t been guided here.

A good reminder that sometimes the best places are the ones we never would’ve found on our own. ☕️

Thanks for introducing me Braelynn

Back at a place I haven’t been in years. ☕️

I used to spend so much time here—hours of conversations, work, life, and all the little moments that filled those days.

It was great catching up with an old friend, and being back here brought a whole wave of memories with it.

Funny how a familiar room can bring back a whole version of yourself you’d almost forgotten.

It will never not be one of my favorite deliveries: treats baked by little hands. 🍪

There’s just something about homemade cookies showing up at your door that feels like a little package of love.

And yes, I will happily accept this kind of delivery anytime. 🩶

We usually get to see each other about once a year, but this time the stre

Thank you so much to our friends from Water of Life Church for an incredible weekend!! Our kids loved the intentional activities you planned, and we’re so grateful for the energy you poured into every project—from spreading gravel on our roads, to deep cleaning the baby house, to stuffing envelopes, and serving alongside our friends at Rancho La Hermosa Orphanage. We praise God for connecting us with your faithful and amazing church! 🤍

Welp, 2025. We did our best. Out here hanging by a literal thread, but ain’t nobody ever made grief look this cute, am I right?

All jokes aside, it was a hard one. Like, so hard, but also it was so beautiful and fun. By the grace of God, we made it. Cheers to stepping into 2026 hopeful and expectant 🤍

This December was full of hope, peace, love, and joy! I experienced going to an NFL game for the first time, enjoyed my favorite festive traditions with family and friends, and celebrated the start of a new chapter in my career journey!

Thank you mom for the fun Christmas gift that checked off #4 on my bucket list 🖤🩶

Believing that 2026 will be a year that’s full of more answered prayers, growth, and beautiful adventures!

Christmas week often looks like this.
Small hands reaching for wonder.
Laughter riding alongside tired bodies and tender hearts.

This week can hold joy and also hold grief at the same time.
The Incarnation reminds us that love doesn’t wait for things to be simple.
It steps into the noise, into the movement, the mixed emotions… and lingers.

Today held a whimsical afternoon at Descanso Gardens with my godson and his momma:
train rides,
color,
beauty,
and the beautiful gift of being together.

God doesn’t arrive once everything is tidy.
Love comes close right here, in the in-between.

✨🚂🎄

Where are you noticing love showing up this week?

Moments like these 🤲🏽

This week held a lot. Sadly it’s been feeling like this is the norm in world events and our country. My usual way of processing is movement, but with my pinched nerve that just wasn’t possible. I had to miss things, reschedule things, and honestly… feel a little sad about it ☹️.

But then moments like these: him.
Both of us propped up with pillows… one for his little head, one for Nina’s aching back. He needed rest, and so did I.

What felt like a “boring as heck” week because of all I couldn’t do, turned into an invitation to surrender. A slow walk with a friend reminded me that gentle movement is still movement. Not being able to lift this little one reminded me my body could still be a cushion for his nap.

Limitations open us to creativity. Slowing down revealed unexpected joy. His breath, his smile, his laughter, all reminders of life, future, and joy unspeakable.

And that’s enough to keep me going 💪🏽.

If you need the pause, the breath, even just flat out laying out, it’s okay. Rest is also resistance.
