Gold ball szn 🏀🏆

Monmouth took down Machias in the Maine State Class D championship game last Saturday securing their 2nd gold ball in the last 3 years.

Massive shout out to Monmouth for working with us this season! It was for sure one to remember 💯 Also a big thanks to @bradykingvideo who provided some of the clips used in this video!

This reel…🥹

This level of sportsmanship, selflessness, and kindness is LEGENDARY…it’s also very familiar to me. I witnessed something similar this past Saturday evening while watching some of my own athletes win a State Championship in Basketball.

It was a close, physical, and very competitive game all the way to the final buzzer. A game with outstanding leaders, athletes, fans, and coaches.

When the final buzzer sounded, I witnessed players from the winning team pause their celebration and shake hands, hug, and congratulate their opponents on their outstanding season and high school careers with sincerity and respect.

Was I surprised by the show of respect and humility?

Not a bit.

That’s how our student athletes are raised by their parents, taught in our classrooms, and trained in their extracurriculars. I’m proud of the culture and quality the young men and women that our community produces.

It means a lot to win Championships, but it means a whole lot more when you win with class, honor, and respect.

Well done guys. You earned this. 🏆🔥🫡

See you at the ballpark.
