I truly can’t put into words how much it meant to me that the people I love dropped everything to celebrate me. This holiday season was heavier than I expected and I missed the chaos, the noise, and being surrounded by family the way it was growing up. I was completely surprised by this early birthday celebration! I was expecting a chill evening at home (hints the no make up look 🤪) and my mom even flew in from Texas 🥹 We played multiple rounds of LRC and ate my favorite cake with my rainbow chip frosting (NOT Funfetti, don’t get it confused).

To my husband @jindo66 thank you for pulling this all together and completely surprising me. You reminded me just how loved I am when I needed it most. My heart is so full and I’m grateful to celebrate 37 years on this earth surrounded by so much love. 💛

/// November 2022 ///

Lots crammed into November. I chaperoned Kinsley’s overnight field trip to San Francisco. We had so much fun. We walked the pier, went to Alcatraz, and stayed in a hostel in Fort Mason. I got lucky with my group of 6. The ride there was quiet and awkward, but after spending the night in one big room together, the ride home was one of my favorite parts.

Out Gold girls played their last 2 tournaments of the fall season. The first one was an 18u tournament and our girls absolutely crushed it. @_avamajor got her first home run, and since they do absolutely everything together, @kinsley.77 hit one too. The last tournament was in SoCal the weekend before Thanksgiving. The girls battled like they do and in the last game of the tournament @lex.mcfarland hit her first homer, immediately followed by a home run by Kins.

We got to spend time with Auntie Brooke and Elan while they were visiting. Who knew it was possible to keep falling more in love with him. The kids adore him. E decided his best friend was @declan.410, usually finding a way to Declan’s lap, or giving him a hug.

We squeezed in our annual Apple Hill trip with our besties @mamameetsfashion and @jaelyn_presto which is honestly one of the highlights of the year. We ate donuts, drank the cider, teetered and tottered and laughed until it hurt.

Of course Thanksgiving with the cousins @deadshot.archery, lots of whipped cream flying around the kitchen (usually ending up on a dog), finding the best Christmas tree, and a ton of ordinary moments that mean so much.

November did not disappoint ❤️

#tbt to less then a year out of @ucla_tft going all in on an eight week run of Natalie Avital’s VOICE OF THE HERO. @steveconnell and @gregcrooks opened the night, and @joshcovitt @kellymeyersfield @itsmattharrisgram and I brought it home. AND if I member correctly, Peter Smith @lasreverfilms did the sound design! This was the @laweekly review from opening night - it was a special group, true ensemble. Love you all! 🎭 💙💛❤️‍🔥 #theater #indie #independent #hollywood @complexhollywood #fanily #familia #santamonicablvd

With racism still running rampant in this day and age, I meditate on the idea that despite different our different hues, we are all still human, all with hearts that are capable of love and kindness.
Happy hippie moment on this Monday as I plug back into IG...
