We didn’t take many pics but had a great few days with cousins right on the beach at Cape San Blas. God just knew we needed to be together this week.

I asked for a first day of class photo. They sent their first day of coffee pic. I’ll take it! It soothes my heart that they are together.

Second Auburn move-in this week, and the last one for our Senior! Loved having the whole family together today, especially with Lottie, the organization queen, on the job. Give her a room and she’ll have it whipped into shape in no time!

War Eagle, Ella and Bryce! Here’s to your best year yet!

Bryce and I started the day with a run along the waterfront in Portland and then picked up the rest of the crew and headed to Spring Point Ledge Lighthouse before checking in at the airport. We NEVER make it through TSA without drama. Bryce’s electrolyte powder sparked concern and required a close inspection and testing, Ella’s bra area raised red flags with the scanner and required a pretty thorough pat down and I got selected for a random hand swab. Just normal McCleary travel. Huntsville, we are coming for you!

Today’s adventure was on two wheels as we explored the carriage roads through Acadia. Perfect weather and miles of scenic trails made for the best way to see the park. We topped it all off with ice cream and dinner in Bar Harbor. Another pretty perfect day in Maine!

Bar Harbor is every bit as beautiful as everyone says. We wandered through the charming downtown before heading into Acadia for a hike around Jordan Pond and a BIG climb up the Bubbles. While we were taking in the views, Bryce tackled 15 miles on the Carriage Trails because apparently regular hikes aren’t enough. We wrapped up the day back in town with lobster rolls and another reminder that vacation calories don’t count.

23 years ago today, these babies got married and headed off to Hawaii with backpacks on and adventure in their hearts. We thought we knew what adventure was back then!

Little did we know the real adventures were still to come: raising three kids, hauling them all over the country (and sometimes the world), making memories, surviving the chaos, and loving every minute of it.

23 years later, we’re still chasing adventures together and don’t plan on slowing down anytime soon. Here’s to 23 amazing years, and let’s go ahead and shoot for 23 more!

I remember when it used to be the kids that made family pics hard.
