Our OG New York Knicks fans North Austin squad got together (a handful missing) for a reunion and Game 1 for our @nygiants

On this edition of my past convention and cosplay adventures, we kick off 2023 with a trip to Round Rock, TX for Ikkicon 2023 (my 50th convention all-time)! This was a pretty fun con, mostly because I got to spend more time with my awesome friends. The main highlight was getting to do a big group cosplay photoshoot in our SpyXFamily cosplays. We took so many pictures that it was hard to find the best ones to put here. Overall, Ikkicon 2023 was a great time and not a bad way to spend a birthday weekend (my birthday happened a couple of days before the con). Next time on my past convention and cosplay retrospective, we come back to Round Rock for some more Colossalcon Texas fun so stay tuned!

On this edition of my past convention and cosplay adventures, we head to Austin, TX for RTX 2022 (my 48th con all-time)! This was the first in-person RTX since the shutdown, the last two events were held virtually.

In all honesty, this con is complicated for me. On one hand, I loved getting to be around my friends again and hanging out with them. And I loved getting to meet some new people and getting pictures with other awesome RWBY cosplayers. I even went to the RWBY panel to see all the new stuff that was being announced at the time. For the most part I enjoyed the con and what it had to offer.

However on the other hand, there was some behind-the scenes drama that was going on throughout that weekend involving one of my friends being treated unfairly, along with some mismanagement on who was supposed to be manning the cosplay repair table (which led to me basically sacrificing most of that weekend to help run the table). And don't get it twisted, I enjoyed being able to help my fellow cosplayers with any issues they had and doing my best to fix whatever was broke. I just didn't like spending the majority of my time having to man a table without some sort of schedule.

So overall, RTX 2022 was a mixed bag. While there were some good things about it, the negatives definitely took some of the fun out of it. And unfortunately this would be my last RTX. The event would hold its final event in 2023 (which i wish I could have gone to it because it looked like a lot of fun). But next time on my past convention and cosplay retrospective, we head back to Fort Worth for another date with Anime Frontier so stay tuned!

This edition of my past convention and cosplay retrospective brings us to Planet Comicon Kansas City 2022, my 47th con all-time! After having a blast at PCKC 2021, I figured I'd head back the next year for another fun time. It was once again a blast getting to hangout with good friends, finding other amazing cosplayers to get pictures with, and meeting cool special guests.

Some of the best and funniest moments happened when we weren't at the con funny enough. Some moments include:
- Overhearing a phone call between @brittanyymarie3 and her mom, where her mom thought that "anime" was a person
- Brittany thinking that @roguecorvid's salad dressing was soup
- @trinitygarden_cosplay waiting for my reaction to having burnt ends for the first time
- Changing all of our names in the group chat to a pun on the word "Anna-May"
- Singing karaoke at @trinitygarden_cosplay's house

I don't think I've laughed so hard in my life than that weekend. It was such an amazing time being with my friends. Ngl on my way back home to Texas, I cried a little bit (probably because I didn't want to leave and I didn't want the fun to end). But all good things come to an end eventually. But I would make it back to PCKC again, but that's for another time. Next time on my past convention and cosplay adventures, we head to Austin,TX for an...interesting time at RTX 2022 so stay tuned!

@planetcomiconofficial 2022 is a wrap!!!

From working the cosplay photoshoot meetups, to hanging with friends, cosplaying, and all the other con shenanigans, it was a more than memorable weekend!

A big thanks to @trinitygarden_cosplay for putting up with me all weekend long as our first year as Planet Sidekicks! Can't wait to do it with you again in 2023!

And of course @azalea_sunrise_cosplay, @jakepeebz, @the.little.teacupp, @pintofcrow, @roguecorvid, and @whizkid116 for hanging out! Couldn't have had a better group of nerds for our "Anna-May" cosplay weekend

Lastly, a thanks to @kylephillipsfun
And @zachaguilar for adding to my signature collection tradition! It was great chatting with you both about cosplay and the industry!
