A ground-breaking #Documentary series returns tonight for its final chapter, 70 Up: The Final Chapter. The series which began in the 60s has followed the same characters each seven years allowing us the audience to grow with them and experience life through their eyes. This latest chapter is directed by Asif Kapadia and shot by Jake Polonsky BSC (@jakepolonsky).

The series features the work of the previous filmmakers and we pay tribute to Paul Almond (Director of Seven Up!) and Michael Apted who directed (7+7-63 up). David Samuelson BSC shot Seven Up, Tony Mander shot Seven plus Seven and then George Jesse Turner shot 21-63 Up.

Still in the afterglow of our trip to London and screenings of Gas Food Lodging and Mi Vida Loca at @icalondon hosted by @lostreelsuk. So thrilled to have so many friends there, many who worked on the films: my producer Dan Hassid who did both Q&As with me, dear Bumble Ward our publicist who did the impossible for me on Mi Vida Loca and also from both movies my editor Tracy Granger and my production designer Jane Stewart from both films. Thank you all for being there ! Thank you friends and two former students David Martinez and Vanessa Fernandez one Mexican, one Chicana both killing it as film programmers in London! 💕 and it was way cool that my daughter Tiffany’s English dad Phil White came to London for Mi Vida Loca because in 1973 he took me to a movie at ICA and bought me my first ever espresso at the cafe there. Full circle and thank you Bumble for buying me one to keep up the tradition! I dedicate it all to my longtime friend Mary Buxton who had planned to come but couldn’t be with us and sent many wonderful friends in her place. Love you Mary❤️❤️

Another full glorious (and not too warm) London day, this one spent local in N16, N1 First up I walked to meet my pal cinematographer, filmmaker and Stoke Newington resident Jake Polonsky for brunch at Good Egg. (@edgarwright these pix of we two are for you!). Such a great visit. And while on Church Street I had to take a wander down one of my London favorite alleys, this one is filled with artisanal studios. Then, since we all had to head to Islington for an early evening student exhibition at @londonscreenacademy Tiff, Izzy and I went to Camden Passage a place I loved to shop as a young girl, summer of 1973 when I bartended at The Hope And Anchor (pub rock days). After we attended the fab student exhibition at LSA we took Tiffany’s adorable pooch Sheeba for her much deserved walk in Clissold Park and saw the deer and the swans, and a quick pub supper, where not only are dogs allowed, they get treats and get to sit on the furniture too!
