Day 21/50 #SwingEveryDay challenge by @indianclubsofficial @theshreddedfarmer - some karlakattai basic swings as I need to keep working on them til they're solid. Also some heavy bag work as well; despite injury I will be returning to Muay Thai, just not doing any punches with impact. This Saturday is Songkran, and my school is doing demonstrations for the monks. I haven't been up to much Muay Thai in all of March and training that style was spotty in winter as if it was raining or too cold class was canceled as we train outdoors.

This morning was all about posterior chain and Surya Namaskar 🧘🏽‍♀️ My wrist cannot tolerate much more than 1 plate on deadlifts so working light & slow with emphasis on form. This feels rough given that I was previously working 3 plates+. Still, I'm glad to be able to get back to some hoisting.

Surya Namaskar, Indian clubs, running & lifts this morning 💪🏼

I kept my lifts to 3x8 and carefully selected what I did with my hands (regular biceps curls hurt my injured wrist for example): leg extensions, leg press, close grip seated row, standing hammer curls, machine chest press, lat pulldown. My wrist was minimally upset with this selection so I will persist with the light volume and specific movement selection but I am back to being able to lift some. For awhile even picking up weight plates was a no-go and with the machines full I focused on club & mace which helped a lot with my forearms, wrists, shoulders and upper back especially. For awhile I will swing and do yoga mostly at home (other than Surya Namaskar & my smallest pair of Indian clubs which I use for warm-up) and focus on running and lifts at the gym.

Day 18/50 #SwingEveryDay challenge by @indianclubsofficial @theshreddedfarmer - some 1-handed karlakattai swings with both dominant and non-dominant sides. First slide is earlier in my session; second is from closer to the end. I did some extra swings with my non-dominant arm so it eventually got into more of a groove. Last slide includes a cameo of @sen_plus running by with the podcasting equipment as he had to go edit the bonus episodes for April 😂🌀

Day 14/50 #SwingEveryDay challenge from @indianclubsofficial - Busy, busy day today so only some short attempts at some wrist circles. I discovered that although I can swing in this direction without pain my wrist starts to give out after a short time (my injured wrist is the one behind my head here). Also, swinging in the opposite direction aggravates my wrist so I am avoiding that.
