Nature is full of incredible surprises. 🌊🐠

Clownfish live in small groups with a clear social hierarchy. At the top is a breeding female, followed by a breeding male and several smaller males. If the female is no longer present, the breeding male undergoes a natural biological transformation and becomes the new female, ensuring the group can continue to thrive.

The ocean never ceases to amaze, and every dive or snorkelling adventure is a chance to discover something extraordinary.

Which sea creature should we feature next? Let us know in the comments! 💙

𝗝𝗮𝗹𝗯𝗼𝗼𝘁 & 𝗶𝗬𝗮𝗰𝗵𝘁 | 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗿

The partnership between @jalbootgroup and @iyacht.gmbh goes back to 2013, when iYacht designed the first generation of luxury transfer vessels for city tours in Abu Dhabi and later for resort operations across the Maldives.

Those early projects became the foundation of a long-term collaboration built on trust and shared standards of quality.

Years later, that trust was called upon again under very different circumstances.
In 2018, one of the vessels, the HSF40 "Aldana", suffered a severe bow collision in the Maldives caused by another operator.

The impact left major structural damage above the waterline. As the vessel carried class certification, the repair needed to restore not only appearance but full original structural integrity.

After a detailed damage assessment and engineering simulations, iYacht proposed the most effective solution: rebuild the bow section as a complete laminate part in Abu Dhabi, then ship it by container to the Maldives for installation and bonding to the existing hull.

Then reality intervened.
The container ship never called at the Maldives, continuing instead via Sri Lanka to South Africa, where the part remained for months before eventually finding its way back across the Indian Ocean.

A reminder that even the best-engineered solutions can encounter surprises that no CAD model can foresee.

Despite the delay, the repair was a complete success. iYacht deployed Dennis Bull, Naval Architect and certified boat builder, as on-site project leader, supported by a team of European composite specialists.

The new bow section was integrated layer by layer, precisely bonded to the hull, and verified to classification standards. The Aldana met every original performance and strength criterion, indistinguishable from a new build.

Today, the vessel operates once again in regular resort transfer service across the Maldivian atolls.

When Jalboot needed an emergency repair in the Maldives, they called us, not a repair yard, nor a surveyor. They called their design and engineering partner.
