SpelHouse Homecoming 2026 is in the books! 🌧️➡️☀️

Mother Nature tried it this year, but not even the rain could stop the greatest homecoming tailgate on earth. We just moved it to Sunday and kept the energy going. 🙌🏾

So grateful for the conversations, the partying, the familiar faces, and most of all, the LOVE from everyone I crossed paths with. Choosing Morehouse remains one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, and I’m truly thankful for my SpelHouse and AUC family. 🐯❤️

What an incredible celebratory Homecoming Spelhouse weekend! A mandatory annual reminder of how black excellence looks and feels. It’s Morehouse, it’s Spelman..it’s the bonds we’ve kept over the years, it’s how freshman year friendships became god parents, aunts and uncles. So much love this weekend along with incredible amazement at how i was able to hang from Thursday to Sunday 😂. Thank you Spelhouse for another wonderful homecoming and reminder of how blessed we are to have attended such incredible institutions. Love you all!

This past week was truly unforgettable.

I had the incredible honor of watching the very first graduating class of Utopian Academy for the Arts High School walk across the stage—and I couldn’t be prouder. Serving as principal of this school has been one of the greatest blessings of my life. To witness the growth, resilience, creativity, and brilliance of our students has been nothing short of inspiring. I love my students deeply—they are the reason I do this work.

As if that moment wasn’t enough, I also had the honor of standing beside my line brother and one of my closest friends, Adam McFarland, as a groomsman on his wedding day. Adam is more than a friend—he’s family. His family is mine, and mine is his. Celebrating his love and commitment was a powerful reminder of the beauty of brotherhood, legacy, and community.

This week has been a beautiful blend of joy, pride, and deep gratitude. Here’s to milestones, memories, and the people who make them all matter.

I’m so grateful for the opportunity to witness my dear framily @mac_i_am and soror @missamarig love alongside so many humans I’m obsessed with. THANK YOU to the McFarlands for all of the meticulous hard work, sacrifice, prayer, love and intention that went into the #MakingItMac experience you curated for us this weekend!!! I know it wasn’t easy, but it was worth it!

So many kind, foolish, brilliant, beautiful, talented folks bonding in dem country backwoods havin a ball baby! God and His unconditional love surrounded us all weekend, present and moving in a real divine way. I have no doubt that’s emblematic of the way He will show himself faithful throughout this union. This village is there to hold y’all down in every season! I can’t put into words the energy experienced, but I speak on behalf of errbody, we need an annual reunion! 😭
