Another make that has been waiting far too long for a spot on the grid

This was my second Laurent by Jalie Patterns, made not long after my first and well before summer. I loved the first one so much that there really was no reason to wait before making another.

I made the same straight size T as my first Laurent. I have shared all the details about my sizing and why I chose a straight T in my previous Laurent post.

This time I went for a solid red sweatshirt fabric with matching red ribbing. I kept the hood and kangaroo pocket and love how different a plain version looks compared with my first printed one.

The 6mm seam allowance makes this such a quick and satisfying sew as almost everything can go straight through the overlocker. Having already made it once, this one came together even more quickly.

It may have been made before summer, but now the weather has taken a definite turn, this is going to be getting a lot more wear. I think it is safe to say the Laurent has become a firm favourite.

Happy with how my first Patagonia fleece dupe turned out! This was also my first zipper and I have no clue why I've been avoiding them - so much easier than a placket.

We got new @jalie_patterns patterns to add to the shelves! And for everyone who’s been waiting, the mitten pattern is back! 🧤 With our Alaska weather doing what Alaska weather does, the timing couldn’t be better. 😂

When a prize for a work Bake Off doesn't arrive in time, what else am I to do but make a replacement?

This denim apron with embellishment (also designed and made by yours truly) for our wonderful Star Baker was made using @jalie_patterns Galaxie 2 apron pattern and Denim fabric from my stash (meant for a pair of trousers which I'll be making myself at some point!) from @minervadotcom

For a last minute make, I'm really happy with how it turned out!

Who doesn’t love a well-dressed man. A fashionable man you can dress like a human sized barbie doll. A man who will wear every crazy thing you make for him. A man who loves colour and pattern and wears it well and will even pose for Instagram videos, though admittedly under some duress. #sewingsuperpower

Today’s run outfit:
* Greenstyle Auckland shorts made from a 22” remnant of SunPro Seashore stretch woven from Discovery Fabric. These are a very recent make and are so comfortable!
* GreenStyle Trail t-shirt from a merino wool jersey from Our Social Fabric
* Jalie Coco sports bra made from a variety of Discovery Fabrics BreatheTek leftovers from various projects.

I may not be a fast runner, but I sure enjoy making my own gear!
