Today’s picture is from Blair Witch 3. I love a lot of things about the film, I like that it tried to replicate the ‘is it real’ advertising of the original. The film had a kickstarter page for the documentary they’re making inside the film, a lot of the characters had official Facebook accounts you could view. It was an interesting way to utilize the internet of the 2010s.

“Blair Witch is a terrific sequel that stays true to the spirit of the original while at the same time developing and expanding upon the legend.”
- Chris Tilly, IGN Movies

“Takes the franchise back to its roots with its filmmaking foundation, trading in the subtleties of that debut film for abject terror for a roller-coaster ride of a film.”
- Patrick Cavanaugh, The Wolfman Cometh

“Blair Witch passes the sequel test by making a good case for its own existence while preserving the primacy of the original. And, oh yeah, it’s damned scary too.”
- David Bax, Battleship Pretension

“Once the housecleaning is out of the way, Blair Witch pulls out all the stops and delivers some of the finest horror filmmaking I’ve ever seen.”
- Dan Scully, Cinema76

“There is a lot of good stuff going on here, not the least of which is a climax so well-orchestrated that it plays right into our urge to peak at the screen behind clenched fingers, arguably the greatest of litmus tests for fear-inducing journeys.”
- David Keyes, Cinemaphile

This is my favorite thing, yes, the highways of Frederick County Maryland make a stickman. @BlairWitchMovie pointed this out during the release of the 2016 Blair Witch film.

"The woods remember what you came to forget." 🎥🩸💀

🎬 "BLAIR WITCH" (2016)

Twenty years after the original shook the world, the Black Hills Forest claims another generation. This isn't just a sequel — it's an escalation. Armed with drone cameras and modern gear, a new crew walks into the same darkness, only to discover that technology doesn't protect you from something ancient. The forest is still alive. It still hunts. And this time, it plays longer, harder, and closer than you ever imagined. A film that proves some doors, once opened, never fully close.

Comment 👁 if you watched it alone. Save this for your next horror night watchlist. 📌

IMDB: 5.6/10 ⭐ (A Found-Footage Legacy Sequel)
