“For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen.
For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.” -2 Corinthians 4:17-18

During the past almost 2 years the Lord has been fixing my gaze. It is SO easy to slip into complacency, into trusting myself over Him, it’s easy to get caught up in the busyness of life, work, school, family, friends, ministry. There’s always going to be things that call for our attention but the Lord in the midst of the craziness of life has been grabbing my chin and fixing my face to look at His. Nothing is of value if I didn’t choose to look at Him. Everything without Him is done in vain. He is incredibly kind to have continued stripping me of things that are lesser to be caught up in. He’s been teaching me that as I look to Him, as I choose to relinquish control that He takes care of me WAY better than I thought I took care of myself. He truly is a Good Father and He loves to love us. He loved us so much that He sent His only Son for us. That’s a pretty good dad if you ask me and I’m just in the beginnings of getting this in my heart. So, although things look different than I thought, I know He’s good. As I look to Him, He rids me of the burdens of life that are too heavy to carry on my own. He truly is Gentle and Lowly. Thank you for partnering with this. I felt the Lord ask me to move to Orlando a few years ago. Many of you even called it out before I did. That I’d end up in ministry school-with this specific church family. And this is why I came. To meet Jesus-face to face. To set the beginning years of my adulthood to gaze upon Jesus. To further my studies in the God who saved me and gave His life for all of humanity. Thank you for your partnership, for your encouragement, for sending me out here in faith that I’d know God more than I did when I came. He is truly worth everything.

2025 year end montage 💫

This summer was full of healing. One of my best friends always says, “It can be hard, but that doesn’t mean it’s bad.”

In May, I left a job I thought I’d do forever because I felt the Lord positioning me to step into something new. Letting go of control was hard, messy, and vulnerable. I loved being a teacher. I loved working with kids. I love the autism community. That still stands true today. I’m just cheering from a different seat now.

Although this summer started with risk and transformation, it brought beauty from every seed sown. I’ve learned so much about the beauty of living in a posture of trust.

I’ll never stop encouraging kindness. I’ll never stop holding hands with truth. I’ll never stop believing the best is yet to come.

I know summer doesn’t officially end until September 22nd, but as the seasons slowly fade, I’m reminded there’s beauty in the duality of lingering and dreaming.
