Almost a year ago I saw an ad for a random drag competition and decided to go. I watched one artist perform and fell in love. I came back the following week with my camera, and the rest is history. I’m now three hard drives deep.

These shots came from the very bottom of the archive. I had to dig through my oldest hard drive to find them, and there are so many unposted gems still sitting there. If you’d like to see more, let me know.

Also, keep me in mind for your Glam Awards nomination. 📸✨

I really did come out the gate with good photos. No shadeeeeeeee. 😌✨

PUERTO RICO ESTA CABRÓN ✨

Category #2: Talent show 🇵🇷

This was the most important moment of the night for me.....in season 5 I wanted to show my LATINA roots and I accomplished that with one of my favorite songs (gata bajo la lluvia)

However this time around I wanted to show my where I come from and what a better way to do it as showing different parts of the current status of PR 🇵🇷

I had the pleasure to grow up in my beautiful island till I was 16 and in the past few years I have witnessed how much my island has suffered thanks to all the injustice. My beautiful island has been suffering in so many different ways and no one seems care but I wasn't willing to get on a stage without continuing the fight.

The 1st stage of my number was a political statement (we aren't giving up and we're not willing to give our home away)
The 2nd stage of my number was showing where we came from (traditional dancing we get thought in school since we're kids) also (our traditional dress that our ancestors the "Jibaros" Wear in the fields)
The 3rd stage of my number was showing where I'm standing as a drag performer with my every day moves.
And the closing wearing MY FLAG 🇵🇷 as a symbol of resistance and showing how good we can party cuz we love celebrating every single aspect of our lives even when we're down.

I'M SO PROUD TO BE BORICUA ❤️

So many people work on this amazing gown and Im so happy we accomplished this gorgeous piece of art ✨
