Here’s another favorite from my board collection. Before starting BRAINSTORM I was skating PUSH shop boards, @trafficskateboards and a lot of @post22 boards. I’m definitely happy I actually held onto this classic POST 22 board by @james.tupper for the collection.

I want to give a little backstory about this board. Eric Hunt hit me up last year about working on a guest board for @brainstormskateboards for the 15 year anniversary of @post22 @james.tupper video Carolina Love. But with some set backs last year and covid this year we found ourselves around the 16 year anniversary now. I was 15 when Carolina Love came out and it was some of the best times of my life filming for that video. So when Eric asked me to come up with something I contacted my good friend @wheelbranson who I skated with at that time to help. I wanted the graphic to represent that time period for me so of course all that’s skated NC State brickyard will know that brick pattern! As for what else I wanted to add was the font from the video we had started to film for after Carolina Love which was going to be called Thrills. This is the font @james.tupper used in the clip when we started filming for it! The rest is just bits of me sprinkled in over the years! I want to thank everyone in the video for what I experienced and how I grew with you all during that time! There are more guest board from the other guys that were in the video too at Pushskateshop.com Pure gold! Cacka will always be my home!!

The SU20 “AURA” series is inspired by the original cast of the skate video “Carolina Love” which was created by @swarmlife / @james.tupper back in 2004, the series is a nod to a time in North Carolina skateboarding while filming with friends. This series is clearly not a collection of pro-model boards, but is purely a testament to skateboarding, art, friendships and the capability of creating something special together at a particular time in our lives. The idea for this has been something in the works and in my mind for years now and it was an honor to work on with everyone’s artists/friends of their choice to create their graphics in this series. Stay tuned for a new video nod in the near future to accompany the “AURA” collection of boards and you can now visit PUSH Skateshop in-store or online in the link in the bio above to purchase boards. ⚡️❤️⚡️
