Just a lil taste of the NMLA short submission for the TU Bosque Fly Fishing Film Festival on Thursday, November 6th, from 7-9pm.

Can you believe we’re already heading into the ninth month of the year? Just four more to go until 2026 — and only six episodes left before Bassment Sessions hits its 100th episode. Wild to think it’s been running this long!

Lately, I’ve been exploring genres outside of 140. One day, I’ll share some of those sounds with you — but for now, I hope you enjoy this month’s installment. As always, thank you for the continued support. Much love.

💡City Brights II Artist Spotlight: James Black "Rosenwald Faces"

From December 2024 to May 2025, Albuquerque artists activated Downtown with 11 experiential, light-based installations.

James Black illuminated downtown with colorful, animated portraits of Albuquerque residents. Black's loosely drawn, thoughtful, and often humorous caricatures come to life using stop motion animation. The animations were digitally projected onto the 4th Street side of the Rosenwald Building during the December, January, February, and March Artwalks.

@abqpublicart is excited to invite Albuquerque artists to submit ideas for City Brights III installations. Up to 10 sites will be lit up with installations, architectural light interventions, light sculptures, performance, projections and more through Winter 2025 – 2026. Deadline to apply is August 18, 2025 at 4pm. Click the link in our bio to apply.
