Thank you @pbcerm @benjistudtphoto @jupiter_lighthouse and ARCI for putting on such a lovely event. Swallow tailed kites are the type of birds that stop us in our tracks, their beauty and grace do not compare - so grateful to see these elegant creatures get some time in the spotlight ❤️ so lucky to learn more about them and why they are so special and how they are working to keep them here for generations to come 🥰

Atala Butterfly Festival @loxrivcenter - Finding beauty wherever we can 🦋 it might be a hard thing to do right now but by making ourselves useful in the community we will always find beauty. If you're scared during these current times, doing things for someone or something else can be quite gratifying and can also bring peace to the mind.
We were able to plant Coonties in our yard which are the sole host plant of the rare Atala Butterfly; the beautiful butterfly we were celebrating at this festival. We have bird feeders and numerous butterfly and pollinator host plants in our garden as well. It's just a small thing that we could do to bring some loveliness into the world 🌱🩷
What are small things that you do to inspire peace and beauty?

Yesterday we celebrated my youngest daughter's 11th Birthday...I'm not sure how lucky we are to have her as our kiddo but we really hit the jackpot. She looks at everything through her creative eyes and wonders what it could be and how she can personalize it to make it her own. She is a talented artist, creative little crafter and she likes to chop trees down with her best friend. Did I mention she has adopted the farm ducks at the park and tries to feed them everyday or at least asks if she can go feed them everyday. She is still hilarious and is so quick witted - sometimes it catches me off-guard! Our sweet little Moopsie - love you forever and ever!!! Happy Birthday to you!

16 pics for 16 years married (10/24/09) - holy moly! I remember the first time meeting you @oceanmagicsurf - Mary and Carole made you try on a little girls' Roxy t-shirt and I knew at that moment, you were the one for me 🤣 also, I can't forget Kristine for threatening me to join Myspace and having the courage to message you 😮
we've had a lot of adventures - from being a pitcher plant to ghost hunting, riding on Hogwarts Express, telling you to not mountain bike down that hill (ahem broken collar bone) to discovering the keys (as a responsible adult 😅) and all the eco terrorism exploits - planting mangroves, beach clean ups, meeting Jane Goodall, holiday gift drop off at animal shelter, saving the wolves, adopting a manta ray, countless lectures, just to name a few! And let's not forget our two coolest/best/greatest achievements - Maddie and Amelia 🥰 and all the cats I've brought through our doors 😁I can't imagine doing all the things with anyone else!!! Cheers to many more years! #weddinganniversary❤️ #happyanniversary❤️

Retrospective and something to consider: At Blue Carbon, Blue Mind event for Florida Climate Week 2024 we collected styrofoam pieces from the shore. 1000s of them. Check the images! While it’s common practice to weigh the amount of debris at a cleanup, a true measure,of impact isn’t the weight, but the volume of plastic. From foam to microplastic the little, lightweight and often unseen pieces can do great damage within marine ecosystems. Before thinking of immediate solutions, consider stepping back to contemplate the bigger picture. Include your own plastic use. Measure what counts!

You're officially a teenager my sweet girl ❤️ You've sure been through a lot this past year but you are one of the toughest people I have ever known. You will get through this and realize it was just a quick chapter in your amazing book of life. Still drawing, still loving animals and still having your special interest in the next coolest thing - stay rad and never let anyone make you feel less than 🤘🥳❤️ #madfiesfavoritesong #13yearsold #happybirthday #13birthday #birthday #spookymonth #bobvelseb #montygator

So much fun @booksartmusicfest , hung out with friends and listened to lovely authors and illustrators talk about their art and the process behind it 📚 got to meet @evangriffith14 (in person this time!) and scored a few of his other books ❤️
