Little #throwbackthursday to about three years ago, recording guitars with @gusrobertsongtr for the @james.broughton debut album I produced. Really loved this little @fender amp and what it sounded like. Despite its size it had great tone and Gus knows how to play to make it sound even bigger. Was great to listen over the big @barefootsound speakers and dial it in as well. Good times! #tbt #recording #mixing #producing #guitar #fender #barefoot #sound

A big #throwbackthursday to many moons ago when we started recording the @james.broughton debut album at the beautiful Chapel Studios in Lincolnshire. It's been quite a journey but absolutely great producing his fantastic songs, doing all production, recording and mixing over the last few years, also playing on quite a few tracks. Now we are getting ready for the next phase with a first music video being shot, live-performance videos in planning, also plans on revamping the website etc. It's time for this album to come out and people to hear it, too many good songs that need to be heard. Just saying. #tbt #recording #mixing #producing #jamesbroughton #album #recordingstudio #londonsound #musiclover

Time to call it a year! Despite all the doom and gloom of 2016 there've also been quite a few nice things happening this year. Here are a few of my personal highlights: I finished the Dark Suns and @iwantpoetry albums, which got released and received fantastic reviews in magazines and online, even won awards. The @avatarmetal album came out as well and entered the charts in the US, got brilliant reviews and made it onto the ballots for the Grammys. I've had some great sessions with e.g. Ripe (with HYDE + SEEK, @aprilbandofficial and Brendan Reilly), @cacklemusic @schoolofrockabyebabies @thisishyphen and @gusrobertsongtr from Razorlight for the @james.broughton debut album, which is now pretty much ready to be mixed. I flew to Poland to record and film @joquailcello with the orchestra and choir of Cappella Gedanensis and also flew to Germany to record with Sylvia Massy again, who I also saw earlier this year where we got e.g. a private tour of @abbeyroadstudios . Last but not least, this year alone I've recorded, mixed and filmed over 60 bands and artists for @chaostheorymusic where one video just hit over 10,000 views (big deal for this sort of thing). I've also got @magix as a partner in mixing crime and may even have something else lined up for 2017. So looking at 2016 like this - it was a great year and I had a lot of fun. Therefore, thanks to all the artists and bands for your trust in me, thanks to my bro @ransteiner and also thanks to all of you for your support here. Now bring on 2017 and make it a good one!
Cheers, Peter #nye #happynewyear #bye2016 #hello2017 #recordmixing

I really really like this little Fender amp. Might also have to do with the capable hands of @gusrobertsongtr making it sing beautiful guitar solos for the @james.broughton album yesterday. #recording #guitar #fender #amp #gibson #guitars #razorlight #singer #songwriter #acoustic #pop #rock #debut #album #recordingstudio #london #shure #sennheiser #chandler #germanium #uaudio #la3a #trident #studioporn #gearporn #jamesbroughton #studio #production

Great session with @gusrobertsongtr from Razorlight laying down guitar solos on his SG Special from 1964 for the @james.broughton debut album. Sounds awesome. We finished recording backing vocals for the @james.broughton debut album yesterday and can now count the sessions until all recordings are done. A few guitar bits left to do, a few guest vocals and ready for the next stage. Can't wait and very proud of what we've got so far.
