18 YEARSSS…that’s how long it took me to get back on stage. Tbh, life happened and I (almost) convinced myself my music days were over. But man, hearing that crowd cheer reminded me why I started. So if you’re starting over in your 20s, 30s, or 40s…don’t let anyone convince you it’s too late. You’re allowed to chase old dreams. Sometimes the comeback is better than the first time around ⚡️

I mean…let’s be real. I started playing guitar because I thought it would help me get girls 😂 It absolutely DID NOT. But somewhere along the way I actually fell in love with playing the guitar and now here we are all these years later. Funny how something you start for the dumbest reason can accidentally become such a HUGE part of your life. ALSO…please tell me I’m not the only one who picked up a hobby because of a crush lol.

I think getting older is realizing that the one person who you knew everything about is basically a stranger now. I’ve made peace with a lot of my past, but I’d be lying if I said I never wondered if she thinks about me too. Not because I want to go back but it’s wild knowing that she’s out there carrying memories of a version of you that doesn’t even exist anymore. Maybe that’s why I’ve always loved “7 Summers” so much.

P.S. @_jaycecyaj_ and @wxtxb at :20 seconds is absolutely living their own storyline while I’m up here processing emotional damage 😂

The real ones showed up before the proof did.

Today marks ONE YEAR since we celebrated my debut single, Peace with the Past!! Honestly, I still can’t believe we actually pulled that night off lol. Over 120 people showed up to watch me do this artist thing for real and I remember feeling excited and probably slightly DELUSIONAL all at the same time. I had no idea what any of it would turn into. I just knew I had spent way too many years talking myself out of music and I wasn’t going to do that anymore. Since then, that little song has reached 21.6K streams and somehow triggered the Spotify algorithm by landing me on Radio and Daylist AND introducing my music to people I’ve never even met. But more than any of that, I’m just proud that I kept going. I can give two shits about becoming “famous” because tbh, I just wanna buy my Mom a house and a Prada bag lol and have FUN along the way. That’s really it. I want to make songs I’m proud of, play them live with my friends, meet good people, build something that actually means something and enjoy the fact that I finally get to do what I love. There are a lot of changes coming later this year, a lot more music on the way and a huge push for more LIVE shows in 2027. I genuinely have no clue where all of this ends up, but one year in, I know I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be. Thank you to everyone who showed up that night, streamed the song, shared it, worked on it or believed in me before any of this looked real ⚡️

Not exactly the love story I thought I’d be telling.

If you’re going to bet on yourself, you might as well celebrate like you already believe it’ll work.

I think the beautiful thing about starting over is that you stop chasing cool and start chasing truth. The younger version of me wanted applause (FAME even). This version just wants to feel something honest and make other people feel less alone while I’m at it.

P.S. Shout to this amazing band @_jaycecyaj_ @wxtxb @jamesconner62 , should we do it again in Friday June 5 at The Hotel Cafe? 👀
