Ken Sorceron delivers a leaner, far more aggressive black metal assault on this release. Driven by Mike Heller’s ferocious drumming and John Porada’s surprisingly prominent bass work, the songwriting shifts smoothly from icy, tremolo-driven speed runs to suffocating, dissonant crawls. Dave Otero’s punchy mix gives the guitar leads and raspy, desperate vocals an exceptionally sharp edge without losing the underlying brooding atmosphere. I think the real strength lies in its emotional weight, letting quiet, melancholic passages drift right before tearing back into raw violence.

We all remember the first music that blew our minds when we were kids. Especially if that moment shaped the rest of your life and made you the musician you are today.

My gateway into Death Metal was Obituary’s Cause of Death.

Since then, I’ve spent over 30 years as a Death & Thrash Metal guitarist. In my youth, I learned guitar by transcribing and dissecting every single note of James Murphy’s solos.

Years later, having him guest on my guitar solo album feels completely surreal. He was even the one who convinced me to use "MINSU" as the band name for this project.

I’m truly honored and deeply grateful. Thank you, James! 🎸⚡️

32 years of Low! 🤘🔥
On October 4, 1994, Testament dropped Low via Atlantic Records, pushing their sound into heavier, groovier, and nastier territory with Chuck Billy’s legendary gutturals and James Murphy’s insane solos alongside Eric Peterson, and Greg Christian and John Tempesta on drums! Low is a fused traditional Bay Area thrash with groove metal heavy grooves and death metal aggression. 🎸🥁

To celebrate, I'm spinning my copy of the 2017 Metal Blade 180g Translucent Gold LP reissue.

Low contiene 12 canciones y más de 47 minutos de música, incluyendo “Hail Mary”, “Shades of War”, “P.C.”, “All I Could Bleed”, “Urotsukidōji”, “Chasing Fear”, “Ride” y “Last Call”.

¿Cuál te quedas: “Low”, “Dog Faced Gods” o “Trail of Tears”?

🤟🏽😎 Stay tuned 🎸
