I’ve long dreamt of buying a one-way ticket and just going and seeing and doing wherever the wind blows me. To work odd jobs here and there, immersing in local culture, and meeting locals and travelers alike. To have the total freedom in my soul, to go anywhere, for any amount of time, without the feeling of needing to come back home for something.

During what was only supposed to be a 2 week surf trip to Nicaragua, after which I’d finally end my funemployment and look for a job again, I was instead inspired to keep going. I was reminded of how at home I feel when I travel, surrounded by like-minded people, that care about living and seeing and exploring the world in the same way. And so after I returned home to take care of a few things, I immediately bought a one-way ticket back.

November 30, first stop: El Salvador. El Sal brought about a lot of feelings. There were highs of feeling immense gratitude for where I was and feeling like I was living out my dreams. There were days of simplicity and just contently passing time with good company. There were great groups of people formed. But there were also lows and difficult moments of things I grappled with on my own. Lows that eventually led me to sign up for a 10 day silent meditation retreat, to really think and reflect and go in. Something I’d never thought about doing before, and another blowing of the wind I was so appreciative of being able to follow.

Very grateful for this start to the trip. Filled with so much gratitude, lovely company, a full heart, a full belly, and even a sad heart that ended up teaching me so much. Here’s to continuing to see where the wind blows, and to being filled with gratitude everyday for being exactly where I am, and where I want to be.

It takes a village..

Feeling thankful for such an incredibly powerful Sangha that ALWAYS shows up when they're needed, often without even being asked ✨💚✨

A person who loves himself is in control of his own destiny. But what does it mean to love ourselves, and why do we often find it so difficult to do so?🤔
We must learn to accept ourselves as we are and come to terms with the aspects of our personality that we cannot change. It means having self-respect, a positive self-image, and unconditional self-acceptance. Many people have difficulty with this because, as a child or later.😒
Because someone told you you should be different in order to be liked. Luckily we can rewrite these programs. Want to know how? Book your free get-to-know-you session now.

A hoodwinked woman balances two swords on her shoulders. She sits equipoised, lying in wait. She’s the water dancer they don’t see coming.

I pulled this card for a dear friend as he prepares to carve out a world only he can see… and I’ve not stopped thinking about her since. This water dancer lying in wait.

I think of @astr0terf and @radicalrealityxx… two women the world cast aside. Two women who, as children, were metaphorically beaten blind. I think of myself. My sisters. My brother.

This picture is what it’s like to live in the world traumatized… blindly balancing weapons against yourself, because you know if you don’t, you might slice someone else.

But… oh shit… when she comes to life. When she figures out she doesn’t need sight to fight? Watch out.

Because, that’s the precise point she sees exactly what she’s meant to. She sees the light with her heart, not her eyes. She knows how to see through the tricks and the lies.

You forgot her. You left her to die.

Big fucking mistake.
