What a day, James and Mike are incredible casters and were placing the flies right where they needed to be. This resulted in a “You should have been here yesterday” kind of day. We lost count of the fish an hour into the float. Thank you for for hanging out with me today, it was a pleasure rowing you guys! @jamesnicholas.3

Thank you again to @ckokorda for visiting the shop and sharing his passion and knowledge around saltwater fishing on the flats for stripers! Trout season might be ramping up, but everyone left with salt on the mind!

Jig Streamers are one of the most versatile flies in the game! Fished on a tight-line, under an indicator, or just stripped on fly line, there is no wrong way! We have plenty of colors and styles in stock @orvisavon !

Feel free to comment any questions you want answered in the future! #farmingtonriver #orvis #orvisflyfishing #orvisavon #flyfishing

We have been quiet on Instagram for awhile —but it’s time to change that.

We’ve spent the winter hosting seminars, tying flies, meeting anglers, and swapping stories while gearing up for the season ahead. We are looking forward to sharing store happenings, river report updates, your fish photos and more this coming season! Huge thanks to @richardstrolis @flippinflies @churchpoolassociates @bucktailguideservice and @rayramos007 for hosting classes at our store and helping us survive this endless winter!
Spring is around the corner, the water’s calling, and we’ve got plenty to share, stay tuned!🎣 #orvis #farmingtonriver #orvisavon #orvisflyfishing
