Oberlin Regional Rumble - 28:17. 18th Place Out of 164 🔥

First time this year not getting a PR and I’m honestly not upset at all, with being able to run that fast of a time with the course conditions (wood shavings stacked with mud and more mud to get your shoe stuck) means these next couple weeks are going to be good. We’ve bee training hard these past couple weeks and I’m proud of my boys getting through this hard course but with our results, I know we’ll be set for conferences. Next weekends meet is a banger: NAIA GREAT LAKES CHALLENGE IN GRAND RAPIDS‼️

P.S: Wearing pink jerseys for the month of October for breast cancer awareness, but all forms of cancer are a horrible thing to deal with, with that being said, I can happily say F*** CANCER.

LCC 8K - 28:07!

3 words, LFG. What an amazing first 8k of the season. Prepped beforehand amazingly, and my splits were exactly where I wanted them, the weather, everything just lined up perfectly. Proud of the whole team and especially my roommate Noah for helping me push near the end. Another meet next week Saturday at Adrian 🔜

XC IS BACK ‼️

Started the season at the Wayne State / Detroit Mercy 4 mile race. Saying the course was hilly would be an understatement but still a super fun way to start the season. Final time was 23:01. Lansing Invite later this week 🔜

Growing up Native, I’ve always understood that education can feel like an uphill battle. Nationally, only about 74% to 79% of Native American students graduate high school, and of those students, only around 17% to 28% continue on to college or university. Those numbers are more than statistics to me, they represent stories, struggles, lost opportunities, and generations of people who had to fight to be heard. My “why” comes from wanting to break that cycle, not just for myself, but for my family, my community, and the younger Native kids who deserve to believe their dreams are possible too. Every late night, every challenge, and every step toward higher education means something bigger than just success for me personally. It means proving that we belong in these spaces, that our voices matter, and that our people are capable of overcoming barriers that were never meant to stop us forever. So miigwetch to those people who made this accomplishment possible for me, miigwetch to my family for never letting me give up on myself and pushing myself to do greater things. Ill always remember those struggles i had on the way, but not as speed bumps, as a learning curve to reflect on and learning from my mistakes on the way for the better.
