After 5 years of waiting, we finally installed @thekelpfarm yesterday! The name is a work in progress and so is the whole project, but it is so exciting to see this initiative come to life after a long application process.

Thank you so much Tom @westcoastkelp_ for all your knowledge, patience, such kind leadership and hard work. This would have never be possible without your guidance and support!

We got to start the day with the install of @toquahtnation’s ocean nursery system as well, which is so exciting as they have their own kelp restoration program going!👏

Thanks to all who have helped along the way to make this possible and to all who came out yesterday to document and support too! @lali.car @plonkanoah Dennis @kayleykornn @graeme_o @jamestannerdp @icitoutv @elletheone_ @fredsauvee Coby and crew, @salmonsez @barkley.marine.services Darren @salty.cedars @surfrider_canada @burque2pnw @carolynwhittaker and Craig, you all rule 🙏

We still need to seed and grow kelp, but looking forward to see this farm support local restoration efforts with @toquahtnation and different organizations, provide educational opportunities to learn more about kelp and how important these ecosystems are, maybe one day develop some locally sourced kelp products and hopefully create more precious habitat for the all the living species in this beautiful and biodiverse area. 🫶🙏

Dog lovers 🐾🖤
En couple avec mon chien documentary is coming out today!

I’m so touched that our story is now part of this documentary, alongside other beautiful and deeply human journeys across the country.

This project was first imagined by Frédérique Sauvée, inspired by the love she shares with her dog June — and brought to life on screen through this film.

Directed by Alix Cameron, it explores the profound bond between humans and their dogs — and how these relationships can shape, support, and transform our lives in ways we don’t always expect.

Grateful for the entire team who made this possible.

This film is for him.
And for anyone who has ever loved an animal this deeply.

📺 Airing Friday, April 10 at 9PM on ICI Télé
💻 Also available on ICI TOU.TV

En Couple Avec Mon Chien -In Relationship with My Dog-Documentary Alert

I didn’t expect this story to be about love. Not the kind we usually talk about, anyway. Over the years, Leo and I have shared more than just adventures; we’ve built a life together. Through the wild escapes, the uncertain, and the tender and quiet moments in between… he’s been there for all of it. And in so many ways, we’ve held each other through it. This film is a reflection on what it means to build a life with a dog. To dream together. To grow through every chapter, side by side.

This last chapter… the one I’ve come to think of as the long goodbyes… is both beautiful and so full. Together, we’ve lived at seven different addresses, called four campers home, one sailboat, and more nights in tents than I could ever count.

And somewhere along the way, I realized something simple:
Leo and I are home to each other. Imagining life without him is impossible. I speak about our big dreams and what life might look like in the chapter after Leo.But for now, all I want is to soak in every second with my little black bean burrito. With him, I am completely happy. Not searching for more. Just deeply grateful for a kind of love that asks for nothing and gives everything.

I’m so touched that our story is now part of this documentary, alongside other beautiful and deeply human journeys across the country.

This film is for him.
And for anyone who has ever loved an animal this deeply.

📺 Airing Friday, April 10 at 6PM PST (9PM Quebec Time) on ICI Télé (Will be online afterward)

In partnership with @thenorthface, we’re proud to present the heartstring-pulling backstory of @teamgiver, a non-profit youth freeski team based out of @redresort in Rossland, B.C.

Founded by the infectiously positive @ryangiver, the Team GIVE’R Freeride Club represents much more than just a ski team. As part of the Team GIVE’R Foundation, which was born out of a devastating tragedy and life-changing loss for Lachapelle, its driving purpose is to selflessly give back and pay it forward to young athletes in the Rossland community and beyond, all while honouring the memory and legacy of a fallen friend.

Presented by: @thenorthface_snow
Produced by: @jeffschmuck & @danetudor
Filmed by: @aidancroskrey & @jamestannerdp
