POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Last ones… 🧚

Thank you for following along with all the different Changeling photoshoots. Here’s the last few pictures from the last shoot. Maybe one day I’ll find some more (we did have multiple cameras and people shooting) but this is all I’ve got for now.

“In Faerie, there are no fish sticks, no ketchup, no television”

@blackholly is one of my favorite authors who does a spectacular job of portraying the fae, so I definitely channeled my inner Jude Duarte when we did the final Changeling photoshoot.

While the collection is not directly based on Folk of the Air, I took inspiration for the world and fashions in the story to find the best ways to combine history, nature and fantasy into my work. And then of course, I gave everyone swords and told them to go wild.

More Changeling! At the end of our castle day, we played around with alternate styling options in the collection.

Surprise! There was one last Changeling Photoshoot - this time channeling all the fantasy fairy tale vibes.

There’s more to come from this very fun day, but here’s some dancing images showing off the movement in each piece in the collection.

Time to take a break from our regularly scheduled “Thesis Programming” in order to be a little sappy.

Throughout my time in Kent, I’ve been so honored to have met so many wonderful people and been given some unforgettable opportunities.

I have dreamt of being a model and walking in a fashion show since I was a little girl. It’s been a dream of mine as long as I can remember. In the last few years, I’ve had the ABSOLUTE joy to get to know and work closely with my wonderful friend Emerson (@emerson.m.design or @redisbreads). Emerson makes some of the most wonderful and stunning designs and makes a point to fit so many stunning bodies and offered me the opportunity to model for her in the @kentstateannualfashionshow. Through this experience, I have learned to love myself and my body in an entirely different way. Amongst the stress of glass and thesis, I would get lovely breaks to go and work with some absolutely WONDERFUL women. All the while being empowered, loved, and supported because of exactly who I am. Not the body I wish I had, or the body everyone else wishes I had, but for exactly who I am.

So to all of the stunning, wonderful people I have gotten to know through this opportunity thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Thank you for welcoming me into your worlds with open arms (and for teaching me about smeyzing). I am so thankful to have been a part of this unforgettable experience with all of you.💚

Oh, and if you made it this far, can we just acknowledge how my girls and I are living ALL my Tinker Bell dreams?🧚🏻

“Hazel”

Look 1 of Changeling features a cotton jersey tank top and comfortable linen shorts. The tank has princess seams in the front, while the shorts feature one panel of twisted pleats, with a pocket on the opposite leg with viney stitching.

The star of this outfit is a patterned cotton twill jacket. Complete with gigot sleeves and a large Peter Pan collar, this piece pulls from fairytale and historical elements, reminiscent of knights armor.

The final look has been paired with dropped glassworked leaf and chain earrings, which I specially made for this collection.
