On Monday night, Tamba was one of ten finalists for the 2026 James Beard Foundation Award for Best New Restaurant.

We did not win. @lei.wine in New York’s Chinatown did. Congratulations to Annie Shi, Patty Lee, and their team. They earned it.

To the @beardfoundation Thank you for including us. For a restaurant eighteen months old, being included in that company was an honor we did not take lightly.

Tamba is the first Indian restaurant ever named a Best New Restaurant finalist in the James Beard Awards’ history. The category has existed since 1995. Monday night was a first, and we owe that opportunity to the Foundation, its committee, and the judges who made it possible.

We opened on December 26, 2024. Eighteen months later, we are also a 2026 AAA Four Diamond honoree, and the only Las Vegas restaurant in this year’s Best New Restaurant category.

Las Vegas had three finalists in Chicago this year. The city’s largest Beard presence ever. @sarahcthompson_ of Casa Playa won Best Chef: Southwest, becoming the first female chef on the Las Vegas Strip to win and the first Vegas Beard winner in fifteen years. @chefbrianhoward of Sparrow + Wolf walked the carpet with us.

We are grateful for the recognition. We are grateful for the room. We are grateful for the work, which begins again tonight at five.

THIS IS TAMBA

A room shaped by intention.
A kitchen driven by fire.
A bar built on precision.

Six flames.
One rhythm.

Energy you can see.
Discipline you can feel.

Recognized.
Refined.
Still pushing forward.

OCHO at TAMBA
During #50BestWeek in Las Vegas, we had the honor of hosting an exclusive evening with our partners @tequilaochomexico , @theonlycaviar , and @evianwater .

The cocktail program was a true collaboration, crafted by our Beverage Director Sean Santos (@seanandthespoon ) together with @persialegacy behind the bar, and guided by the expertise of @fanycamarena , Tequila Ocho’s master tequilera. Special thanks to @ashleymel01 from Ocho for her support in bringing this experience to life.

We were also proud to showcase an incredible caviar pairing experience with @theonlycaviar and @ildiegoss , who helped elevate the night’s offerings.

Guests enjoyed four original cocktails Cherry Vanilla Batanga, Barriga’s Word, Kesar’s Kiss, and Mist of Makrut paired with canapés by Executive Chef Anand Singh and the Tamba team, including Hamachi Crudo with Kokum-Chili & Coriander-Mint, Temari Lobster with Saffron-Tamarind Glaze & Caviar, Crispy Chicken Oyster with Chettinad Patya Chutney Sauce, Charred Steak with Kasundi Mustard Aioli & Pickled Onions, and Falooda.

The room was alive with tastemakers, chefs, and friends from around the world, making it a true highlight of #50BestWeek in Las Vegas.

A heartfelt thank you to our partners, to @carmaconnected for their incredible PR support, and to everyone who joined us in celebrating terroir, spice, and storytelling.

Had the absolute honor of being by my sister @emily.shah ‘s side as she entered a new chapter in her life as she married her husband @menamassoud. From the views, to the food, to the venue, to the guests, everything was PERFECT! Truly a storybook wedding would follow this beautiful rehearsal dinner party that we started the weekend with… stay tuned🤭💐
