❤️ ❤️ On behalf of our trustees, staff and members, we would like to thank everyone who helped us make our charity concert: 'Songs that Never Leave You' the success that it was. Thank you to all those who supported the event by attending. We'd also like to thank our brilliant compere Harry Ballin from @Windsor Auctions for giving his time so generously. A big thank you goes to all the performers for giving their time and talents including Eve Maidwell, Sideline, The Azure Adult Tappers from the @Azure Theatre School , Marty & Del and That 70's Choir from @Jam Theatre Company. Our gratitude also goes to our volunteers who worked so hard to support the event and a big thank you goes to our Patron Sue Holderness for her support. Thank you also goes to @Norden Farm Centre for the Arts and their staff. ❤️ ❤️
The evening was a big success, with everyone having the most wonderful and joyful time and importantly everyone helping to raise as much as possible for this very important cause: supporting local People living with Dementia, their Carers and families. DIVORCED WIDOWED SURVIVED

@jamjocarter

I am indebted to my friends who have held my heart in solidarity the last couple of years as I have navigated my marriage ending and now in my own small way I am celebrating extraordinary women who have or who are still navigating loss and grief. These stories I hope will inspire and show that there is always a future no matter the loss.

I have known my friend @jamjocarter since our twenties. She’s a musical genius, co-creator and Artistic Director of @jamtheatre a lover of people and music with a tinkling infectious laugh.

I recently sat with Jo in a church in Marlow talking and recording her story about her life and her two divorces, neither of which she expected. There was so much she said but the most poignant thing for me, which Jo had never considered, because she is so incredibly humble, was that despite her own losses, she’s carried on giving out to others in the most remarkable way.

She is a builder of communities, for adults and young people, Last year her theatre school was the winner of the best Arts, Culture and Theatre in Bucks & Oxon and her students have gone on to have careers in the west end.

Out of the ashes of heartbreak, Jo has changed the lives of so many, she has created the most joyful adult choirs where people make lifelong friends and has created safe spaces for children to thrive and excel.

We talked for a long time, photographed for not so long and then went to get lunch in Marlow. Everyone we met knew Jo; she is loved in this town, she’s built something that only she could and she built it despite adversity. Be inspired.

Day 2 at Pub in the Park and what a brilliant day it was! 🎉🍻

A huge thank you to all of our fantastic guests who joined us on the show:

• Kamado Barbecues
• Sideline
• The Peerless Pirates
• Furne
• Undecided
• Pleese
• Steph Willis
• Atul Kochhar
• Holy Moly
• And the one and only Mr. Andy Clarke! 🙌

Thank you all for stopping by, sharing your stories, bringing the entertainment, and making Day 2 such a great one. 🎶🔥

A special mention to Andy Clarke for keeping us entertained — we’re still not quite sure how we ended up talking about his thighs on live radio, but somehow they became the unexpected stars of the interview… maybe Pub in the Park’s newest attraction? 😂

If you’re heading down for the rest of the weekend, make sure you check them out while you’re there! And if not, you can still show them some love and follow what they’re up to online. ❤️
