Thank you @thewalktotallahassee for sharing my story! #strongertogether ✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾 If you’ve never seen “The Twilight Zone” then here is your introduction. Meka King, a local singer who has performed at Disney, Universal and is a regular staple in her Church, has EVERYONE beat. Meka, to this day, has a “re-employment assistance” application pending from 2018! Yes, you read that correctly, 2018. Meka, applying this time on March 22, is still pending and has run into countless issues. She’s not been given an actual reason for the prolonged pending status, but has been told that it could be any number of things. Including the fact that an old application has been spinning its wheels in the system for nearly a year and a half. Multiple calls to the DEO have proven futile. Countless trips to the website have proven just how non-functional the site really is. Under her account, Meka found an empty Inbox that suddenly appeared full. As well as messages that, when clicked on, would disappear. The site does not indicate any “pending issues,” however, the automated phone system informs Meka of a “pending adjudication issue.” There are QUOTES from DEO personnel saying, “the system is unstable and most of the time it just doesn’t work,” “someone probably needs to void your old claim but I can’t even look at it because the system is down,” “OMG this is so confusing because there is an action due date, but it doesn’t say what you need to do.” And while trying to solve the mystery of the vanishing inbox, Meka began HELPING THE CLERK AT THE DEO NAVIGATE THEIR OWN WEBSITE! Unbelievable! Yes folks…welcome to the alternate universe known as…THE FLDEO ZONE!! 😱

YO DIDDLY DOO! TheatreWorks USA’s national tour of “Pete the Cat” closed early yesterday due to COVID-19. Thank you everyone who came out and supported these crazy group of artists. Thank you @theaterworksusa for this awesome opportunity. It was an amazing experience and I’m so happy to have worked with these incredible individuals. It was such a blast performing this wacky, high energy show and exposing young audiences to theatre. It will always be an experience I’ll never forget. Everyone stay healthy and keep washing your hands! 😷

A little #Halloween #TBT to nine years ago, the first time I performed in #TheRockyHorrorShow! The times may have changed, but I’m thrilled to still able to call so many of these people close friends to this day. #RockyHorror #TimeWarp #Phantom #TheatreDowntown #Orlando
