🔥❤️ @_blokone — WALLS WITH A HEART ❤️🔥 Every once in a generation, someone comes along who doesn’t just paint walls, they give the streets a heartbeat. That’s exactly what my brother Blok does. His work has transformed ordinary urban spaces into vivid stories of love, unity, friendship and connection, pieces that stop strangers mid step and make them look twice. His art is instantly recognisable: bold colours, expressive characters, and a style that feels both playful and profound at the same time. Last night we made it down to his solo show “Blok’d” at @pureevilgallery and the turnout was amazing. The work carried a strong anime influence, with each piece revealing a deeper narrative for those who took the time to really look. Every mural feels like an invitation, to look closer, to feel more, to connect with the space and the people around it. Painting on the streets since 2013, Blok has steadily built a body of work rooted in public space, while also expanding onto canvas and limited edition screen prints, each one carrying the same raw energy and joy that first drew people to his walls. Alongside the streets, his work has also found its way into the gallery space, with shows at @pureevilgallery and @roysartfair and with @toxicartsgallery moments that marked another step in his journey, proving his work holds the same power indoors as it does out on the street, without ever losing its soul. What I admire most isn’t just the skill, it’s the vision. He doesn’t paint for likes or applause. He paints because, for him, art is community. It belongs out in the open, brightening days, sparking conversations, sometimes even ruffling feathers, but always changing how we experience our surroundings. From city streets across the UK, his pieces have become more than murals. They’re urban landmarks, reflecting real life, real emotion, and real people.
