"Join me as I make the journey to “Into Being” in Brooklyn, New York at FXCollaborative Architects. This past Thursday on May 29th 2025 was the opening. “Into Being” is showing artworks created by Trans and nonbinary artists of all ages. This representation is a critical one at this moment where censorship of trans and nonbinary lives is becoming more commonplace. This space felt like a giant hug to me. There were so many different artists represented, all with different approaches to identity and art practice. What united the work was not rainbows but a firm focus on expression and trans joy. My work is part of my micro chainmail portrait series. Because Micro Chainmail is a new medium it is difficult to get it in shows. Very often transgender and nonbinary athletes are not represented in their own terms, in this series I work with them directly to design portraits in a medium I feel best allows them to shine. Being able to include this work in Into Being means alot to me. Thank you for joining me on my first show in New York City, tune back tomorrow as I travel to Norfolk Virginia for the "Affirm” opening at the d'art Center on May the 30th."
